2025 Draft Crush Thread

Man, I must’ve watched the wrong games because I didn’t come away impressed with how he used his hands. To me, they were active, but without intention - felt like I was watching a drunk guy trying to replicate kung fu moves hahaha. But maybe I chose a bad batch of games to watch (and I’d still like to see his 2023 tape, where he finished more). Agree with his power though. It definitely shows on tape. Repeatedly pushes guys backwards.

Maybe he’ll test badly enough to fall to the 3rd round comp area…

They’re not pristine I suppose, he’s no Laiatu Latu, but he’s always got a counter and is usually able to get unstuck. So many guys you watch and they get stonewalled and that’s it. Not really a concern with Gillotte, he’ll fight his way out of it. That’s more what I mean by crafty.

And one who was ready to quit football until his HS coach floated the idea of big bucks with effort and development to him. Does he love football enough for Dan?

I’m not a college football guy.

Hoping for more ARSB, Kerby 3rd round picks and fewer BroMarts.

The idea the Lions have too much talent and don’t need to pick immediate stars because they won’t get to play.

Could have used DE, DT, LB, CB, NB, S, Kick returners, IOL.

Draft guys from the top schools that fall a round or two, who look like great players instead of reaching for stars.

Instead of Hooker/Bromart, could have had 4 guys at DE, CB, DT, Lions still playing football.

See that I didn’t know. If so there’s no way he’ll be on our board.

Yeah every team, even deep ones, have some needs. Just look at all the rookies starting for Philly. Injuries always provide opportunity. This year was a little ridiculous how much opportunity opened up on our defense, but obviously it can happen.

Well JTT has been my Keion White for going on 2-3 plus years now. So no reason to over complicate that and switch off of him as my crush

Sounds like a disease

With a name like Peg us.
And he’s 24 during season next year

Nahhh I’ll pass. Unless he’s there round 6 then we can scoop him like we did Wingo sure I’m good with that

I’m thinking Jared Ivey is Keion White

Bah, you’re just into the big name guys. Pegues is the glue that holds it all together and crazy explosive for a guy his size.

And Suntarine Perkins is actually the best player, he’s just not eligible.

I’m rooting for him to bust bc I like the idea of a Pegues-Suss.

I have a feeling he’s going to have similar career trajectory that Harold Perkins had

He’s a MUCH better linebacker imo. Great instincts in zone coverage. Sideline-to-sideline monster. Yes, he’s a great pass-rusher too, but unlike Harold he’s a LB first and foremost. Great, great pass-defender. Absolutely erases RBs and TEs.

He’s the most like Fred Warner of anyone I’ve seen since. And a better pass-rusher (of course Warner was a safety in college so didn’t get nearly as many chances to rush, but still).

He’s a star for sure, but that’s an enormous load of talent he lost in that front 7.

I don’t see how he will be able to perform at such a level going forward.

In all seriousness I wish we had Pegues as our NT2 to develop over BroMart.

But we are stuck with him no way we give up on him yet and we have more pressing needs then to take another NT mid rounds
