Man, I must’ve watched the wrong games because I didn’t come away impressed with how he used his hands. To me, they were active, but without intention - felt like I was watching a drunk guy trying to replicate kung fu moves hahaha. But maybe I chose a bad batch of games to watch (and I’d still like to see his 2023 tape, where he finished more). Agree with his power though. It definitely shows on tape. Repeatedly pushes guys backwards.
Maybe he’ll test badly enough to fall to the 3rd round comp area…
They’re not pristine I suppose, he’s no Laiatu Latu, but he’s always got a counter and is usually able to get unstuck. So many guys you watch and they get stonewalled and that’s it. Not really a concern with Gillotte, he’ll fight his way out of it. That’s more what I mean by crafty.
And one who was ready to quit football until his HS coach floated the idea of big bucks with effort and development to him. Does he love football enough for Dan?
Yeah every team, even deep ones, have some needs. Just look at all the rookies starting for Philly. Injuries always provide opportunity. This year was a little ridiculous how much opportunity opened up on our defense, but obviously it can happen.
He’s a MUCH better linebacker imo. Great instincts in zone coverage. Sideline-to-sideline monster. Yes, he’s a great pass-rusher too, but unlike Harold he’s a LB first and foremost. Great, great pass-defender. Absolutely erases RBs and TEs.
He’s the most like Fred Warner of anyone I’ve seen since. And a better pass-rusher (of course Warner was a safety in college so didn’t get nearly as many chances to rush, but still).
