Interesting trade by the Jays to get Jesus Sanchez.
Definitely trying to replace Santander’s power.
Sanchez has massive power. Just needs to make a bit more contact. But exit velocity and bat speed is elite. Dude just destroys baseballs at times. Some of the longest home runs I’ve ever seen.
Probably a boom or bust trade. But intriguing

Loperfido actually struggled in Buffalo last year. Was better in the majors. Very small sample
I like the guy. But Sanchez could hit 25 bombs. He has Alvarez type power if he makes better contact
Sanchez mashes right handed pitching. He’s a platoon guy. But kinda reminds me of Kerry Carpetnter
Not a great a fielder, tons of power, can’t hit lefties. But being able to hit righties is huge when 80 percent of pitchers are right handed
Since 2023 - OPS over .800 against righties. / .465 SLG %.
Last year, .812 OPS

I’ve seen Sanchez look like Tarzan play like Jane for years with the Marlins so forgive me if I am not super impressed at this point

I just hope Popkins can help Sanchez find his potential. Jays had the best batting average in baseball last year and Sanchez has tools

No you’re right he does. It’s not a bad throw the dice Gamble because the other guys are nice players in your Outfield but they’re not the kind of Talent or Difference Maker Sanchez could be if he puts it all together.

The dude destroys baseballs when he makes contact.
He has way more power than Vlad or Springer. Not even close. Hits 450 foot bombs look easy
