Pacheco hurt
Mays hurt
Bridgewater gone
Izien hurt
Conklin PS
Clark hurt
Dortch on the bills now
Turner hurt
I believe borom, McCreary, Wonnum are the only off season FA that will be playing to start the season.

Well, aside of Mays none of these players were signed to be a starter.
I know that but its pretty pathetic off season
Conklin is on the 53 man now. But yeah, more than half are either gone or hurt. The Mays one hurts the most. I still think that Saylors will be great at RB for us when we need him but losing Pacheco for awhile also hurts.
Chuck Clark is hurt? Hadnt seen that and didnt see any news articles indicating that is the case.
The way i see it, Mays and Wonnum were the two most expected to help this season followed by Clark and Pacheco.
Mays and to a lesser extent Pacheco being out will hurt some but the rest of that list just doesnt really matter imo, especially Dortch which everyone was up in arms about. Turner i dont know why anyone cares it was a non guaranteed minimum flyer deal why get emotional about it not working (not you just referring to that thread).
Mays will be back soon and that’s the only signing that counts. At least they didn’t put him on pup
The lb is
Ah damone yep, i honestly didnt expect much from him and prefer White. I am probably wrong on that belief but the injury helps my case.
He meant Damone Clark, not Chuck. I had the same initial reaction. edit: I posted my reply too late.
Doesnt that mean we missed a few guys on the list like Chuck, Bartch, and Devin White etc? Likely to be rotational pieces or reserves at least this season
We have a super bowl roster. We didn’t need any expensive free agents. We only needed guys from the dollar bin.
I would agree but oline is still sauce. Trying to stay hip with the young ones. And DBs are bottom of a toilet bowl
Reed, Ya Sin, McCreary, Clark and Maddox all graded out average to above average last year by PFF. You’re way off base.
Ai attempt (izien is hurt but sounds like maybe just for week 1, i also dont think he starts over Abney or McCreary anyway)

I dont believe in pff.
We need Reed to have a big year
I don’t think Marty is too off base questioning this secondary on paper

I truly don’t get why people believe that us losing Arnold is somehow this catastrophic loss. Arnold wasn’t even good when he played. This is REALLY sad, but Rakestraw can basically be this years Arnold. Solid tackler, bad in coverage, misses a lot of time due to injury. That sums up Arnold 2025, and could sum Rakestraw 2026.
I think our corners are solid. Health is always the giant question mark, and every team has depth issues at corner. I like the Lions approach of loading up with bodies to share the load for snaps, and at least attempt to protect against injuries.
I only believe in pff when it supports my biases.
The rest of the time it’s crap
Lions dbs got eaten up last year. Above average my ass. I mean the rams kicked a player to curve and upgraded with a trade. Lions again are getting their sloppy seconds. If McCreary was good he would still be there plus dude was playing with 3rd stringers in pre season. Reed needs to step it up. The key will be the front four guys.
