It should be a really good game tonight against Gonzaga for the championship.
The trophy is sweet but I hate that they put a sponsors name on it.

I know little about Gonzaga’s team other than hearing they and Michigan have the best frontlines in college baketball.

Continuation on NIL complaints.
The OHSAA has now had to change its stance on NIL for “High School” players.
The courts have spoken loud and clear on this point. You simply cannot block the freedom of someone to earn money off of their Name, Image, Likeness. At any level.
I would expand that to say “in any capacity”.
So for those that say the NCAA needs to do something about NIL, what exactly do you expect them to do?

NCAA or whoever, and I don’t disagree that they don’t have the capacity or more explicitly the desire to do so, needs to create some uniformity.
Going beyond the who does it, the point is right now the rules are different from league to league and from state to state. At some point it needs to be figured out by someone. A CFB commissioner, sure, but will all the leagues agree to that concept…no. SEC and B1G will never agree to giving up their power.
Grant-Foster for Gonzaga was the best player on the Grand Canyon team that Bama played in the tournament a couple of years ago. He’s pretty good. Ike is also really good.
I didn’t end up watching most of our game against them a couple of days ago, but it sounded like Gonzaga was clearly the better team in the game.
Yea Kenpom has interesting numbers for both teams
Should be a good matchup, win or lose I like what I’m seeing from UM early.

You realize that Izzo is also paying freshman to come too right? Just because UofM brought players from a different program it doesn’t make it any different than paying prepubescents to come to East Lansing.

Sorry my above post was meant for this post. The point is that every championship will be “ legally” bought from now on. MSU just can’t pay as much and really who wants to play for a coach that blames his kids when he loses.
