Thats the thing that erks me about people that say “oh team X went out and got elite player Y in Free agency or trades”
Example
Philly traded for AJ Brown and signed Saquan.
Why did they do that? Because they didnt have 2 probowl WRs and a ProBowl RB.
Do you what the Lions have?
2 probowl WRs in St Brown and Jamo
And a probowl RB in Gibbs (Monty aint half bad either btw)
So anyone complaining about edge?
Lions have a borderline probowler at DT in DJ Reader.
And if Mac and Hutch stayed healthy, both would have been All Pros!

I think you’re right. Maddox and Muhammad are definitely on the inside looking out, they have a significant portion of their base salaries guaranteed. I also don’t think any of our final 4 draft picks are guaranteed a spot, they will have to earn it.
We had a strong roster last year and this year it’s going to be even stronger. Definitely going to be a harder nut to crack for the fringe players.

Yea i forgot maddox was fully guaranteed. So i already moved him in. And yea i might as well move Mo. baring something crazy hes in.

Even splitting up the roster with 23 offense and 27 defense, it’s gonna be hard to keep him. At that point we’re cutting some of these other free agents that were signed this year like Lopez, Stuard or Maddox.

Today I think Nowaske, Pittman, Turner and Stuard all make the team and Rodrigo is on PUP.
My bubble players are Zeke Turner (WR could overtake him on ST, then also contribute on offense) and Zylstra at TE3. No Sorsdal, Yode or Niese.
I feel like 17 DB/ LB is a bit much. During the season last year it was 16 most of the time. Only 17 really when they were moving players up and down off the PS after all the injuries.
So thats where you can justify a 11th DL.
As for RB/WR.
It comes down to Vaki. Can he be a bigger player this year so they dont need Netflix anymore.
