A little worried

So I’m a bit nervous about this game as well as the next one against the packers. Our defense has played well considering all the injuries. I’m worried with CD being out we are hitting a tipping point. The Bears ALWAYS play us tough and it is always a struggle against them. Are we simply missing too many starters to win?

We’ll win easily. We’re without CD now, but Arnold is back. Hopefully we see some Moseley too, so less Vildor. Caleb blows regardless

I get where you would think that but that’s not where this is coming from. If you were to go back and look, when Hutch went down I was very adamant that we didn’t need to make any big moves because I thought we would be ok. There was a lot of talk about Myles Garrett and Maxx Crosby and I was against all that. We have been playing well. I am just concerned that we are reaching the point where our talent starts to take a noticeable dip. Honestly not even worried about the rest of the season just the next 2 games. Definitely not SOF

I’m worried but I’m confident the offense can put up 35-45 points to win in a shootout. Vildor is gonna have a bad day.

It’s played well period

True I shouldn’t have worded it that way. It has been awesome to see the backups play like they have been.

Listening to Twentyman, Chicago’s red zone defense is a spot or 2 behind Detroits. With 4 ints in the red zone, same as us. And they have a plus 9 turnovers same as us. They do give up a lot of yardage on the ground. They haven’t dealt with our offense in the red zone yet either.

Yeah I’m worried.
We SHOULD be to short handed for this game.
But this team, with this coach has earned my respect. And SHOULD have earned yours to.
There’s always a chance. (First time I’ve said that in my Lions fandom)

He’s a rookie and it shows, but he definitely doesn’t blow

We can agree to disagree on this one. He’s gonna be a bust.

Divisional games are always going to be harder, regardless of how good or bad of a season each team is having. Everyone wants to shit on Chicago and Caleb… What happens if/when they win? Will you respect them then? The Lions are the better team, no doubt, but they’re already down a bunch of players, add in Decker and Davis and possibly Ra and Monty (I think they play) and that evens things up. Lions have a better coaching staff obviously, but I don’t take Chicago lightly… I think it comes down to a Master Bates FG

I thought he played well at the end of the Bears game. Hangs onto the ball too long but the arm talent is crystal clear.

I’m not concerned that the “Bears always play us tough” and I expect a Lions win. AND IMO there’s nothing remotely silly about being nervous, even worried about a possible loss.

Kinda amazing how quickly many fans have pivoted from “SOL-ing” at every turn, LONG after it had become clear that this team wasn’t that any more, to assuming that the Lions will find a way to win, even dominate, no matter how much talent they bleed thru injuries or the truth of “any given Sunday.”

Like Jared has said, there’s NOTHING easy or to-be-taken-for-granted about what they’ve been doing - and the Bears are a real NFL team too.

Hopefully he never learns how to be a QB

This Bears defense isn’t as good as the one we faced last year. Just my opinion from watching some of their games. They have lost 5 in a row and don’t seem to be as cohesive as a team as they were last year…again imo. Caleb is streaky and hopefully we can get him to hold onto the ball….where his play definitely deteriorates outside of a few “wow” plays.

I’m worried that we may only win by 3 TDs instead of 6

That’s one of my concerns. Their D always plays well against us. I don’t think we’re going to put up 35+ points.

Just messing…a lil bit.
My dad always said: “If you’re gonna worry, don’t pray. And if you’re gonna pray, don’t worry”. I’ve lived by that without the religious connotation.
If you have the same worry every week. That’s understandable. After all: Any given Sunday anyone can be beat. But if you’re worried about this game particularly, that usually means that you don’t fully believe the Lions can win. And that’s okay too.
The Lions are a totally different franchise. But the fans, mostly, have a hard time with the success. They like to expect to win. But don’t really expect it. Believe, but really don’t believe. They’re happy. But waiting on the other shoe to “drop”.
That attitude in this forum wreaks of SOL fans. So, it’s not directed at you. But it’s the continuous “Lions have to prove more to me for me to believe” attitude in this forum that makes me respond this way.
So please don’t take it personal.
