Aiden Hutchinson

I saw this on the CBS sports wire.

Michigan could not get the job done in the College Football Playoff semifinal on Saturday night, but former Wolverine Aidan Hutchinson has been delivering all year for the Lions on Sundays. Not only do his 7.5 sacks lead all rookies, but he’s now tied for the most interceptions among linebackers/defensive ends in the entire NFL after picking off Justin Fields on the last play of the first half. It’s been a dominant rookie campaign for the No. 2 overall pick.

What an awesome pick he is turning into.

The question for me is does he win Defensive Rookie of the year?

I think he should win it.

Umm
Its sauce that will win it.

I feel like its hutch or sauce, being biased and seeing all of hutch and not very mutch of sauce, im obviously thinking hutch deserves it.

Hutch has the same number of INT’s as Sauce.

If hutch wins it would be because of the splash plays he is making. Gardner has been fantastic but certainly isnt guaranteed to win it.

Sauce is the best CB this year statistically. Hutchinson’s stat line is historical and has never been done by a rookie EVER and only once by any other NFL player. It’s going to be a very close vote I believe.

The Giants page just had an article out a day or two ago explaining how Thibs was outperforming Hutch. LOL

Depends on how many sacks Houston gets next week. Joking, but only half joking. Unbelievable what our rookie class has done this year. Looked like Hutch could’ve had another sack on the final Chicago 3rd down, Fields got rid of the ball but only because Hutch let up rather than crush him.

Seriously i question if Houston’s success hurts Hutch as people will think it’s more scheme related.

If that’s the case Glenn will be in high demand, maybe we can get a pick for him. Is there any precedence of a coach under contract being traded? I know there was talk of Harbaugh being traded by San Fran.

I can see Sauce winning it because he plays for a New York team (media) and because the league hates/gives no credit to the Lions

We wouldnt need to trade him nor could we as people could freely hire him away to be a hc. But we actually would still get some picks as it is part of the diversity hc and gm hiring rules they implemented recently.

Is Aiden the best Defensive end in the entire league? Bc sauce is the best corner in the league as a rookie and is recognized as a pro bowler for his efforts. Aiden is amazing, sauce has done something insane at the most difficult defensive position for rookies to adjust to.

May not be “best de” but he is having a year statistically that hasnt ever happened for a rookie defender. Like i said hutch has more splash plays which could be why he gets it but honestly they both are deserving based on their impact on both of their teams.

Jets sucking lately isn’t helping Sauce. Back when they were looking to be a playoff team it was all him. Hutch going to make it close.

And to think we have Okudah who went 3OA and isn’t showing he can be a CB1.

There was someone on this board who said Okudah wasn’t worth a 3OA pick. Who was that?

He wasnt worth 3OA, just like hockenson wasnt worth 8OA or whatever. But that really doesnt matter anymore and the dude that made the pick is gone. Now we have a guy that has drafted seemingly very well for the first two years here and doesnt walk around the war room holding a baseball bat like a jack ass…
