Expecting a colossal leap from him year 2

Bravo young man for doing the work

This seems to open more of a lane for the Cal NT, no? I’d think we’d want one pure fatty.

■■■■ yea! I said several times I thought he needed to be lighter.

That’s very encouraging. Cause his pass rush win rate was decent even at 350ish pounds. I’m guessing he’s closer to 300 now. When he committed to Ohio State he was close to 400 pounds

Not sure about him but we did sign that Somoan from the Jets

Seems like he could be the next Benito,Buggs, Bohanna etc

And he was never really a true NT. Always kind of a hybrid guy IMO.

If he lost 50 lbs I think he may have been like 360 even. I believe he had played at like 340/345 at times at OSU. I may be wrong about that. @HSVLion would know.

I bet he ballooned up after the season. He said last 5 months has lost 50 pounds that doesn’t include January and February. I’m thinking he’s still 310 or so which is plenty. I saw a picture of him at mini camp a month or so ago and was still a massive dude.

He was obviously quicker and better as a pass rusher that way when he played lighter as a freshman. He put on some weight again after that and became the run game anchor we drafted, so it’ll be interesting to see how he fares as a run stopper now that he at least knows how to do it at a high level, even if he’s not 350 lbs or whatever again.

Seems like this is a bit of pattern for him. This is from 2022 his second season at Ohio State

Yo-yo’ing? We should call him and Alim the Smothers Brothers.

Well, bodes well for the pass-rush.

We know about Hutch and Alim at their best in that respect. Tyleik’s athleticism will shine all the brighter w/healthy weight loss. Moore could make waves as a pass-rusher even as a rookie.

Flip side is that defensive front might be a bit light w/respect to run-stopping.

Whatevs.

The Cal kid looks like a run stuffer to me.

Looks like the heaviest DL we have now. But it’ll be a surprise if a UDFA sees the field much. But, hey, more power to him if he does.

He put that weight back on by the end of that season…or at least that’s what he looked like.

We don’t need much though. 15-18 plays. Mostly short yardage stuff.

He appears to be the type of guy that can gain 20 pounds over a weekend :joy:

All it take to gain twenty pounds is 1 Mississippi. Or 100 pounds.

Yea guys built like that can gain and drop some crazy weight.
