We ALL have a right to criticize players, and coaches. Everyone shares an opinion. This is football talk. People go off on AG, while I am a big AG supporter. People go off on Jamo while I support Jamo, and they should get him the damn ball! But if your dear beloved Jared Goff gets criticized I am a troll.

I’ve never in my life seen such delusion over a player. All this talk about “efficiency”, and “accuracy” are all lies. His throws are so slow, so inaccurate, he throws wobblers, struggles when his first read isn’t there, he needs extra, extra protection, doesn’t throw to wide open players, his arm strength sucks, he’s too safe, and sucks at throwing deep balls. Goff needs a good team/players to play extra special good for him to be good.

STOP with this top 10 QB stuff. That’s not even a compliment. Mahomes, Allen, Hurts, Burrow, Herbert, Tua, Stroud, Lamar, Dak, Lawrence, and Stafford. That’s 11. Is he better than Fields, Cousins, Carr, Love, or Purdy? Is he better than the young guys?
He doesn’t have the skill-set. He can’t elevate or carry a team. He can’t make the big plays. He’s not the guy who gives you a chance. Goff is an above average QB at best.
Teams aren’t game planning around anyone else but him. Take away he’s safe passing, add extra pressure so he doesn’t get a million hours to stand in the pocket, and he’s done. INT’s, pick 6’s, fumbles… He is why this team is losing.

Trade him to a delusional team for a 1st round pick. At least 2nd round. Go all out in the draft, and free agency with DE, CB, DT, and OL.

You can go and compile the literally hundreds of difficult passes he’s completed over the last 23 games - in which his record is 17-6 as a starter. Not many pretty throws, but efficient? Absolutely. It’s delusional to simply overlook his body of work. Is he a top whatever starter? Who cares.

If Hooker outshines him next spring, I’ll want to give him a chance to win the starting job. Until then, ignoring what Goff has actually done is silly.

Until then, while he’s no Tom Brady, I’m not pinning the Lions tailspin on him. Plenty of blame to go around.

He’s a zen Cali dude. Maybe some think that means he’s weak-minded. Whatever. If we can upgrade at virtually any position at a reasonable cost, I’d be in favor of it. But Goff is not why this team is in need of a serious gut check.

I think Goff and the offense as a whole can get get back on track quickly, as long as Johnson pulls his head out of his ass.

The defense - I think they go after Wilson hard.

It’s toxic groupthink. If you go against what 90% of people believe they will just call you a troll and most likely ban you. This place is very bad for that.

Obviously anyone with a novice understanding of the QB position will realize that Goff severely limits the offense. It has been obvious since day 1. Many fans only box score watch. Having a different opinion can be tough sometimes especially when you know you are right. This board is one of the worst for group think that you’ll come across
