Not resigning their own guys is huge. Just between the CB and LB they let walk was 3 years for $54M. And Andrew Whitworth retiring was one of those guys “naturally falling off the cap” that people need to remember to include in their calculations.

I heard that Stafford told the Rams to sign A-Rob or else he wouldn’t sign an extension there… just because he wanted to steal the soul of all Lions fans that had doubted him and who also wanted A-Rob to sign with Lions.
