Ben Johnson takes subtle jab at Jared Goff and Lions D

Ben Johnson Takes Subtle Jabs at Jared Goff and Lions’ Defense in New Comments

Pretty weak sauce IMO, but nevertheless FBJ :fu:t2:

He really didn’t say much.

I saw this yesterday and thought it meant nothing. Jared Goff is obviously not a mobile QB. We all saw mobile QBs take advantage of AGs defense the last few years.

Both were obvious statements.

Caleb sucks so if Johnson can make him a real QB than consider me a believer.

I mean, if you wanna hate a person for taking a job that paid him 65 million dollars and gave him the chance to prove himself on a stage that is the ultimate level for his profession, so be it. Why hate a guy when we have (in our careers) or would (take 65 million in a heartbeat)?

Is Jared Goff offended? If not then why would anyone feel the need to be offended for him?

I dont hate the guy, but he isnt a lion anymore. No need for me to root for him.

Nothing to see here. Johnson is right about Goff not being a scrambler or a guy who extends play with his feet. The problem for QBs like Williams is that he has to scramble because he hasn’t demonstrated an ability to read the field or knows how to find quickly find his second or third reads. Goff’s ability to process stuff going on around him and find second or third receivers is light years ahead of Williams……right now.

awww that’s dirty pool Bennie-what was it? you couldn’t think of a good burn, not surprising coming from a nerd-then again we knew you wasn’t that bright joining Chicago as it is.

I thought that, too, until we played them the first game. Eberflaus sucked! They should have won that game.

Chicago , Ben, Caleb

That’s ultimate cringe. It’s very easy not to like them

To be honest we know that Johnson and Goff had a very close relationship so Goff probably got a good laugh over it.

Must be the offseason

That’s true at this point. But he’s been giving them to us. There’s no reason for him to make snarky comments. I don’t think there’s malice behind them but they are coming off poorly. You’d never see DC take snarky swipes at a former colleague or player.

Whether intended in jest or not

There was nothing snarky about his comments

Saying Sewell is a more accurate passer than Goff comes off as a little snarky. Especially the way he said it he throws it “Better than some other people. Ahem…Jered…Goff”

Yes it’s probably in jest but comes off badly
