Right it’s the timing that makes Trey more possible than the others imo. Though as many have said, he’s probably seeking a longer-term deal than we would want to give him.

I don’t think we’ll pursue it though I would like to. By most advanced metrics he’s recently been the second or third best pass rusher behind Myles and Micah.

And the report that Trey was offered ~33m and it was too low.
Hes gonna want every bit of $35-38aav.
Could be all for negotiating with Cinci like Garrett. But i think it means the Lions might be out on him.

Lions were never in.
Trey is underpaid and wants to get one last big contract.
That is not available in Detroit with Hutch about to be paid and Alim already paid on the D-Line.

As much as I want Trey I just don’t see it happening. I wont be shocked if we make a trade but it’s going to be for someone nobody expecting.
They want to keep him for one more year. They’re going to call his bluff.

But it is why players need to have a significant roster bonus due at the beginning of the league year in the final year of their contract.
