Best deep throwers in the league now

Wilson and Rodgers are definitely money on deep throws. The accuracy that Rodgers has on any throw is simply remarkable. I get that this list is more about stats than actual ability, but I think its worth mentioning that the balls that Rodgers throws vs the balls that Jared Goff throws are night and day. Rodgers is working out of a normal play most of the time, and trying to pinpoint a perfect ball to a deep receiver who’s covered. As the write up suggests, Goff is coming off of playaction that fools the defense and he’s throwing deep balls to wide open receivers. Goff can’t throw the pinpoint deep balls to covered receivers like Wilson and Rodgers can.

And, the offenses are scoring at the highest rate even…

No preseason and the defenses are well behind…

I’m saying this regardless of who is in the top five this yr…

Right now, they should be the best

Sorry, I thought the title said best deep throaters in the league.

Which would make sense why Rodgers is up there.

They are definitely the two best at those high arcing throws to an open part of the field. Let their WRs go and get it with ease.

This will sort itself out, as they play more games. 3 games in, 2 of which had no Golliday and a 55 yarder called back (to Hall), on PI call.

No chance our guy’s not on this list.

I believe Rodgers is the the best QB in the league.
He’s just a different animal than these other cats. One of the young dudes may unseat him, but don’t have a big enough body of evidence to convince me, yet. Most of these great QBs are in great systems, with great coaches, great mentorship.

Wilson, Rodgers and Mahomes are the three that are currently a cut above. With Rodgers that of course is resurgent. These three games belie his last few years so I’m not quite certain whether he keeps up this level of play throughout the year.

That long TD bomb from Matt was pretty sweet… then… Lions…

I was traveling back from Myrtle Beach and trying to watch on my phone. I pulled over at a rest stop at the exact moment that play happened. As soon as they called holding I said “well ain’t that convenient” and shut the game off to go pee. When I got back the damn signal went to 1 bar and I couldn’t bring back up the game. I had my wife find a website that described what happened to finish the game and she read it off to me. Ugh.

That throw wilson had to Carson in the wheel route last weekend was a thing of beauty.

I went to the Lions Seahawks game Monday night game a few years back. Watching his deep balls in person is something else. They’re almost punt like. Rodgers does that from time to time as well.

Stafford has a mean arm just we don’t go deep too often…

Rodgers and Wilson, honestly, might be the two most talented QBs ever.

Until Mahomes came along. What that dude has done in a short career is pretty amazing.

He has that sense in the mind and supremely talented .Game is slow for him

Totally agree w/Rodgers. Wilson, not so much (I really do like the guy a ton, but he’s not A-A Ron)

I guess you don’t watch Wilson play very much then.
Best deep ball thrower in the league. Can get the yards running if necessary. Super accurate. Hardly throws INTs, one of the smartest guys on the field. Not quite sure what you would want in a QB that Wilson doesn’t have.
For their career QB rating
#1 Rodgers 102.7
#2 Wilson 102.3
No one else is over 99.0

TD/INT ratio
#1 Rodgers 4.44
#2 Wilson 3.49
#3 Brady 3.01
No one else is over 2.7

Even in an era of inflated QB stats, Wilson is right up there with Rodgers.

It’s funny people picking on Wilson

Maybe 3-4 times/year.

I haven’t watched him play this year, yet, but I’ve heard he’s having his best year ever.

I don’t know who is picking on him. I really like him, as an athlete, and as a dude. I just like Matt better.
