I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I don’t know why you think a team is going to give-up two 2nd round picks for our pick?!?!? What player would a team want to move-up and get for two 2nd round picks and which teams would even do that? There has to be a team that WANTS to move-up and you have no knowledge that any team wanted to do that.

Neither did Barry. He’s like a poor man’s Barry. I think the NFL player that looks most like him is Jacobs from the Raiders. Our guy has a little more shake’n’bake, a little less toughness, but otherwise very similar.

To have a guy swinging out of the backfield who linebackers cannot stay with is a game changer. Kerryon is solid in the swing pass/screen game, but Swift is at another level. He is a lot more elusive than KJ. I’d expect Bevell to create a lot of ways to get Swift the ball in space. So opposing defenses now have to play less aggressively, can’t commit a safety elsewhere in case Swift shakes the LB, and probably can’t assign just any LB to track Swift. He’s an opposing coordinators worst nightmare. Play action will be much better. And both KJ and DS will be fresh competing to be the man. Should be exciting.

I agree with all of this, and would like to add, If I may, sir… I hope they don’t forget they have Bo. This won’t be popular, but I was on the fence as to who was more effective, last year. While KJ is certainly more versatile, I almost think Bo is more effective, even as a one trick pony.
p.s. Let’s see what Huntley can do!

Why is it you can’t face the fact the elite players were gone after two picks and Swift is not elite? Neither is Okudah. It is okay to acknowledge their careers are over. Barry’s was. Calvin’s was. Stafford’s is. The moment they announce the pick, it’s over. You have sixty years of futility to prove it. Quinn sucks. Patricia sucks. Stafford sucks. Bevell sucks. Undin sucks and it is only a matter of time before you acknowledge it. I was positive after the draft and you all shit on these guys. Congratulations, you converted someone. I don’t think Yooper is being serious. He is commenting on the number of folks that are negative towards Lion draft pics before they have even played a down. Or maybe not negative but focus on things that are minor and lose site of the bigger picture, esp. Okudah.

The Lions finally have three talented running backs. I include Bo Scarbrough in that mix. Bo averaged 4.2 YPC and looked like a decent real NFL RB when we picked him up. Bo is a 230+ pound RB and I think maybe he can be a viable #3 RB who can excell in the Red Zone?

Swift looks great on paper and Kerryon Johnson IS good but needs to stay healthy.

I really like the Swift pick and I’ll be the first to admit that, but I never claim that players ARE XY or Z until I seen them play 1.5 seasons. I don’t stand behind a podium and say “oh he sucks and is going to bust.” " he isn’t elite." “he was never good anywhere before .” “he can’t.”
I watch the man play at least a season and a half … you can’t judge based off the rookie season.

You have to watch the man play many times , many snaps. Not badmouth him before he’s ever played a snap in the NFL. makes sense Yoop not.
