No. I’d argue Mason Rudolph does fit into category 2.
Goff must be the “ Penis “ in between us.
I have always taken this stance. Give me the wins. I think their more important. They give you more to build on. Make you more attractive to FA’s.
I really do not care where we draft. Just make a good draft pick when you do.
I think FAs are gonna be wildly attracted to us…especially the “right type” of FAs.
When RTK showed that picture of himself, the first thing that popped into my head was, that was a guy that had a man-bun not too long ago.
And by “right type” we mean:
YES! You get it, bro!
Rudolph is 5-4-1 as a starter and at worst he isn’t a guaranteed loss. He also had a much better college career than either Blough or Boyle.
I’d take him in a heartbeat over Boyle or Blough.
Looks like at least one NFL writer agrees: The Draft Network
He went 5-3 in 2019 when the Steelers had the 5th tanked defense… which also created the most turnovers in the NFL.
Their defense forced 23 turnovers in the 8 games he started that season!
I’m firmly in “say no to Rudolph” camp.
I would be surprised if the Lions brought a personality like that into our culture.
Tell that to the Packers.
It depends on whether or not the staff thinks we could be a playoff team.
If they do we need an upgrade from Boyle / Blough.
If they don’t, I wouldn’t mess with this.

Mindset baby!!
We ARE a playoff team! … until we aren’t

Yup - for sure factors in. Even given that, I feel like our guys are SO committed to the future (the plan), that they would STILL go for the future move.
Win as much as you can now…WHILE sticking to the plan…
