Bobby Layne and Matt Stafford

Are the only two NFL quarterbacks in history to at any point in their careers be the all-time passing leader in touchdowns for two different franchises.

We all know that Matt right now is number one for both the Rams and Lions but when Bobby Layne retired he was number one for both the Lions(118) and the Pittsburgh Steelers (66).

Brady was kept off this list by Jameis Winston by 13 TDs

That phrase was not one I had on my bingo card for today.

In 1955, the team finished last in their conference and Walker surprisingly retired at the top of his game. As Walker had been the team’s kicker, Layne took over the kicking duties in 1956 and 1957, and in 1956 led the league in field-goal accuracy.

Bobby Layne was the Jack Fox of his day.

This is probably the truth at the end of the day. Goff will go down as the best Lions QB in franchise history while Stafford the best in Rams history. Kind of funny actually…

It was a nice attempt at reignition though!!! haha

The real truth about Stafford is has only had 2 good seasons with both his teams. All other seasons are just average QB play. But did you see that no look pass.

I am not sure Goff will play as long as Stafford to inflate his numbers high enough to pass him.

I’m not falling into this rage bait trap. Absolute ridiculous comment lol

@TNutZz i’d take Goff over Stafford at this point. I mean, I’ve been there for a few years…but…at this point it’s just bananas that he is viewed as elite.

If Goff stays healthy, plays just another 2 seasons beyond this one, and achieves about 270 passing yards per game, Goff would pass John Elway for 12th all-time in passing yards.

Over that same time-frame, if Goff throws 90 TD passes over the next 45 games, he would have 360 for his career and pass Russell Wilson [353] for 12th all-time.

What I’m as impressed with is stafford having a winning record as a starter. I didn’t think he’d cross that rubicon after playing for this franchise for so long.
