This is more about just getting to the playoffs in one piece. He costs basically nothing in both prospect capital and money, and will be a FA at the end of the season.
It’s not like this stops us from doing something we actually need to do.

I still think I’m higher than most on getting Paddack, but the rest of this deal kind of sucks.

Should Paddack be part of the rotation…the last time he pitched was the 23rd. We could see him soon.
Paddack pitched the Sunday Night Baseball game we played against them when Skubal went off.

Paddack pitched in relief a couple years ago for the Twins in the playoffs. He was electric in that role.
Once upon a time he was a very highly ranked prospect. If we do start him then maybe Fetter can bring out a better version of him.
I really like him in a relief role though.
