Karma remains undefeated

I feel like Kelly’s best fit was at ND lol.

He might be one of those coaches that is a dinosaur now.

He might be better suited to take Brian Keith’s role in a reboot of Family Affair. Daboll can be Mr. French.

Brian Kelly should go down in football history right beside Urban as the biggest assholes, and not in a semi defensible “he was a hard ass who got the most out of his players” kind of way.

Like Meyer, he’s simply a bad person.

He sounds like a sociopath, which explains his intensity and acumen, and inability to function on a human level. ■■■■ that guy.

Speaking of Meyer, does someone hire him this season?

Hell no.

If he showed interest in returning to college football, his phone would ring. He has 3 national championships. Other than Saban, who I do think would answer NFL calls, who out there comes close to that?

I know this…much is…TRUE! :100:

College Football or even NFL is very much a yung persons game now. The days of having a 60+ year old coach is dead and gone

Unless they have been the coach for that program for a long time with major success.

These kids making millions just dont respect the Bellocheck/ Saben style of coaching

This is funny because I knew somebody close and involved with the Cincinnati Football program back in the day and we go to talking because I was from Michigan and Brian Kelly at one time coached at my Alma Mater. And he said Brian Kelly was a total jerk and treated people aka staff etc poorly. He also said Mark Dantonio (who coached there prior) was one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet…

Cignetti? He’s like the hottest coach in college football. This is some ageist nonsense.

True. But Cignetti also evolved over time.

Its not so much as the age thing as it is
“older coach who coaches my way or the highway” or “respect your superiors” types.

Cignetti saw the changing landscape of college football. Heavy transfer portal. Huge NIL funding. Adapting his style to the players he got.

That type of philosophy is more heavily adopted by younger coaches than older ones that are stuck in their ways

I wouldn’t want this guy anywhere near a program I cared about.

The more I read about him, the more I think he could have a feature film entitled “Horrible Bosses: Football Edition” all about him.

Urban might go down as an asshole but he’s gonna go down as a winning asshole. He literally almost died in pursuit of greatness. Urban Meyer deserves everyone’s respect.

It’s a great year to be an ascending Group of 5, FCS HC, or maybe even a P4 coordinator.

I like what Husker mentioned earlier in this thread though, Annesse from Ferris State would be a slam dunk hire for a lot of programs, but does someone have the balls to do it? Whoever gets him-guarenteed they win a lot of football games

Is Alex Golesh finally going to take a Power 4 job this year? Does he have to, being at USF?

Major college football coaching is so much more than the on field leadership and play calling involved in D2 football.

You have to be able to recruit and retain talent, cultivate relationships with donors and raise money, and manage media and PR.

Annese is a good coach, but at 64, it is probably too late for him to make the switch.

what an unbelievable prick.

What’s crazy to think about is how good a coach he had to be, to get as far as he did, being such an awful person.

I don’t think I’ve seen one person that had a good thing to say about him.
