But this team doesn’t have some underlying problem causing injuries. It’s all luck based.

Unfucking real. The OL has got to be better. Hell even Juice Scruggs is banged up. I know every team deals with injuries but this is a huge blow.

are we still running the really hard camp?

Apparently we’re one of like three teams “practicing football” then.

So I get you are the king of emotional overreaction posts, or one of them anyways.
What didn’t they do that you think they should have done to fix this?

Go look around the league. Every team is dealing with injuries. It sucks for sure. Not looking for an argument.

That’s it! Put em all in bubble wrap and don’t practice until week 1!

What, pray tell, can a GM do about it? All of the best players are under contract somewhere.

Trades aren’t as easy as you seem to think.

This is 2026. Hasn’t society evolved enough for us to play a limp wrist Center?

I mean what’s the solution? Bubble wrap until the first live game? Then all kinds of guys would get hurt because their bodies are soft then going straight into the grinder full speed. There is no “safe” way to harden the body of a freaking Center who will be taking on 340lb locomotives for 17 plus games. IF we are doing something way out in left field from a training/practice perspective, then sure, curb that shiznit. But I just heard a POD comparing practices under Campbell vs Patricia and it is definitely a more gentile situation now vs that. We had a saying in the service that is totally applicable to NFL practices. “You have to LIVE hard, to BE hard.” Welp, living hard means training hard and that will lead to injuries. I’m sure there is a fine “blend” to be had and maybe we aren’t at the right mix yet. But IMHO blaming the staff for Mays’ wrist injury seems a bit lame, unless you can point to all the other NFL Centers not hitting sleds or any other players with their hands right now…
