Chain gang crew member in stable condition

Brutal looking injury. Glad to see he’s in stable condition.

Great play by Barnes was my only thought at the time.

But wish the dude a quick recovery

I just saw his leg in a funny direction and got up and left the room

Literally same for me.
My wife was like “hey they are showing a replay…” no thank you

I have no issue gutting a deer or cleaning out a shitter. But show me a limb pointing the wrong way and I am toast.

Yeah, saw that. Knees are not meant to bend sideways about 15%. He was screaming… Brutal.

Only a dislocated knee is good. That’s a big injury, but man, it looked so much worse

Seen a kid get his kneed hyper extended 90° his Sr year running the ball. Teams best DLman and state champ wrestler at 195 or 215… Had all kinds of shit wrong with it including ACL tear… Still wrestled his Sr year, roughly 3 months after injuring, won district, won regional and finished 2nd in states and had surgery right after. Kid was/is nuts. Training Greco now.

“Stable condition”???

Did anyone expect him to be in critical condition from a broken leg?

Brian baldinger waves at you

Wife dislocated her elbow white water rafting in September. The joint was completely separated. Watched as the ER docs popped it back in place. She’s finally starting to feel better but I know I’ll be hearing about elbow pain for the rest of my days.

I bet that felt wonderful.

It was a little gruesome and she has the pain tolerance of a fruit fly but I have to give her credit because I’m sure it hurt like hell.

but thankfully there are wonderful meds that can make you forget you have arms.

Often times there’s torn ligaments with that. So it could be a rather lengthy heal time.

Sorry this made me laugh…sir your limb almost got ripped off your body. And it appears you also have ligament damage and that might take a minute to heal…

I realize you are being kind and informative. I just get a bit sideways with this whole topic. I know when it happened. I was in about 5th grade at a HS wrestling tournament and a HWT fell back and got pinned and when he rolled over his arm was pivoting at the elbow the wrong way…it was gruesome.

I just hope the league takes care of him until he’s back to normal. As someone who still has an occasional, random limp from a knee injury in the military, I know that being “recovered” and feeling normal are two different things. I don’t think those guys are high rollers, working the chains on the sidelines doesn’t strike me as a high paying gig, so I hope he’s looked after financially.

Glad to hear he’s ok

I avoided it. As soon as the announcers started talking about the collision, I ignored the TV.

I may be sick but not morbid.

It might be time to have people who are few years away from a full care facility not carrying the chains right on the sideline first in the line of fire by monstrous athletes.
