I guess we gotta wait and see Brad Holmes masterclass
Late to the party (and what a party it is!). No GIFs or draft predictions. Just deep satisfaction that this team I love is doing things spectacularly right.
Give us somethin brotha, who you liking in the draft no predictions just who you got your eye on
Good Eagles commentary on the CJ leaving for the Lions. Looks like he will command a butt load once his 1 year is up. So looks like we will want to look for a safety next off season or 24ā draft, or pay him. I donāt see BH paying him what he will command next year. Who knows. Just wanted to share with you all.
You have some things wrong. Sutton plays mostly on Outside he has played some slot but now is outside.
Moseley told Dave Birkett he will be ready for camp he is doing great getting back so he should be a go also on outside even if we wait couple weeks.
Okudah is also outside an you never have enough.
Jacobs is a RFA next year so can be tendered to keep. Her could get work in an out side.
CGJ played a lot of slot nickel an some safety. I can see him playing both
Lions can keep Okudha for next season an I hope they do with fifth year option since it will be about same as this year. He is cheap due to lost playing time injury.
Harris played ok as slot CB he sucks at S but during a game if some injuries hit he could fill in at S so could CGJ Walker helped cap this year likely will in 2024 for another year. The team is in position now to handle secondary an keep it strong I expect them to add a CB early to roster an a S later in draft.
When you check the secondary for 2024 we have the Cap to resign or we will still have the depth t let the one year walk. Lions by drafting a CB an S this draft an keeping Okudah can avoid any pressure for big contract an thats how you maintain a solid roster.
Still think cb is one of the picks in rd 1. Cbs usually take time to develop. Now they can grab a guy and ease him in slow and let him compete and develop. Perfect scenario!

CGJās agent posts deal offered by Philly. Truth is probably somewhere in the middle and might include some rolling guarantee. Team spin vs Agent spin (Jamaalās truth is likely in the middle somewhere also).
Structure is important, but if $17M cash isnāt payable until yr 3, Iām definitely taking the deal offered by the Lions.
This is part of the problem that Philly is going to be facing, knowing who and when to let go of players. Patriots were so good at it for sooooo long.
Philly spent more APY than any other team in 2022 and this graphic from Nick is telling.

Theyāll probably get 4 draft picks next year, but thatās 4-5 UFAās that they arenāt getting anything for.
Will Anderson with this secondary would be sick!
Originally I didnāt want to trade up but getting a blue chip player may be worth it.
Heard that this Chauncey guy is pretty decentā¦
CHARK.
You would think that 3 tech and nose will be two of the picks between rounds 1 and 3.
Signing a S & CB on 1 year deals. We are drafting both this year I would think.
We went from a team starting a LOT of rookies to a team that rookies will have a hard time cracking the line up.
Kerby Joseph: 64.0. Kerby Joseph | Detroit Lions S | NFL and PFF stats | PFF
Chauncey G-J: 63.9. Chauncey Gardner-Johnson | Philadelphia Eagles S | NFL and PFF stats | PFF
I think even though fans donāt think so. Holmes is in a win now mode. After a 8-10 finish. He doesnāt want to relie on rookies at CB. This team is ready to compete. They will be many saying weāre not there yet ,but Holmes knows we are. And heās doing business in that manor.
Woke up this morning and itās still realā¦
And I still canāt believe it.
Hope everyone is still this happy when we take a QB at #6!
You mean Jalen Carter, Holmes surprises the do gooders by drafting the final piece of this defense. Carter at 6 then you will see a bunch of offense with adding aLber later in the draft.
Right? While Dan was there.
And we needed a SS.
It should have been so freaking obvious, something we all missed?
Weāre in it to win it, boyz!
(And I was watching March madness the whole time).
I think a lot of us made that connection and liked him as a player, but we all thought he was going to get a long-term deal averaging a minimum of 12 million a season.
