We got LaPorta and Branch. I think the trade off was worth it. Although I was high on Gonzalez.
I thought Gonzalez was a target for us all along, thinking how savvy they were trading to 12 to still be able to get him, LOL.
I’m not going to judge our picks right now or compare him to Gibbs, but I am relieved to see that he was as good a prospect as many believed.
Never trust a defensive player from New England. Everyone is good in that system.
Stroud is certainly deserving as well.
But, comparing Gibbs to Robinson is justifiable.
Head to head, Gibbs won that matchup.

I thought the same thing. I was looking at coming away with Gonzalez at 6 and Gibbs at 18. Trading back to 12 and Gonzalez still be there I was thinking “Brad is the Master”.
It’s one of those things where you just sort of accept that the brass wasn’t impressed, or at least not at the level we’d have thought.
i think it was more so with the mosley and sutton signing, plus CJGJ it became a lesser priority tbh
but yeah, def also a reason
Comparing them side-by-side, similar stats, but Branch is clearly better:
Atlanta plays our entire division so we will end up with 6 common opponents for a total of 9 games against common opponents.
That would be a good comparison.
I mean they are putting Gonzalez on an island and few play Hill to the level he did. He was masterful that game.
Hard to compare DB impact with stats, especially blanket coverage. So many go into it. For instance you could have something like this:
Which gives you a decent idea of coverage ability, but can’t quantify DB handoffs, elite play by the WR, or conversely, drops by the WR.
Man, I remember hearing about how bad Banks was invthe preseason. I guess he must have turned it around already.
