College HC vacancies are filling up

There seems to be growing momentum in the BAL fan base that therr may be a parting of the ways. Just a thought. :man_shrugging:

Tucker with a tissue would be perfect

Hey @Snags is it still not the same. What a joke you actually thought of that. Did Tucker get arrested?

He has always been one of my favorite coaches in the sport, and loyal as could be to Utah.

Unless they’ve got the next guy waiting in the wings, the timing for Utah isn’t great. Of course they’ve got all that private equity money (the reason he’s leaving?) so they can afford pretty much anyone they want.

DC Morgan Scalley has been the heir apparent for quite a while.

So Oregon State and Washington State have both hired SEC assistant coaches. Seems like good hires for both but if either has success in the new Pac 12, then those SEC schools may come back knocking on their doors sooner than later. Nothing surprises anyone with regards to coaching changes. Slick Rick Neuheisel ( CBS analyst) was actively asking for the WSU job so he could bring his son along and eventually pass the torch. It’s one way to get your foot in the door and then you are part of the coaching carousel for life.

Someone said he was officially taking over. I forget who, but it was someone credible.

It’s been discussed on Utes broadcasts from time to time over the last half decade or so.

Great news for the Big 12. Any time private equity gets involved everything becomes awesome.

When they replacing the commissioner with a call center in Bangladesh?

Any day now. I’m sure training centers will open up soon too so they can outsource the back half of the roster.

It’s so sad.

Predictable though. Backed into a corner.

But the Big Ten has been signaling partnering with Private Equity as well and they and the SEC hold the cards. I really think it’s greed and short-sightedness colliding.

Oh I know, and honestly they probably will now too. But for the Big 12/ACC it was either make a desperation move or fade into oblivion.

My last job we were sold by a really good parent company to private equity. That’s why it was my job (past tense). Bunch of morons.

Anything beholden to not just profit at any cost, but profit growth, is beholden to heartless decision-making. It inherently attracts a special kind of asshole.
