I think astronomical coaches salaries ruin the game. Kids saw these coaches getting big-time money and moving to different school arbitrarily so they wanted a piece of the pie. No way you can blame the players for what’s happened to college football. Blame the universities

Most of Penn State’s highly recruits have flipped to Va Tech lol This proves players play for coaches an not the universities

And then they transfer a year later.

Penn State should try and hire Virginia Tech’s new HC.

@farmerted if we get punked by ■■■■■■■ Oregon for the second straight year on signing day I’m going to lose my ■■■■■■■ mind.

Let’s also not forget that they tried stealing Carnell Tate less than 24 hrs after the national championship game.

■■■■■■■ wow

Great hire by USF

Could be worse I guess

It sounds like they want an experienced HC, which is fine, but I have no explanation for why they haven’t landed one yet. They have had months to figure this out.

Maybe they should have waited till end of season, found a guy, THEN fired Franklin.

MSU played it better and avoided the “Coach No-Man’s Land” but get Fitz lined up THEN announcing they were whacking Smith.

I mean…

I think Franklin had to go. I understand the point, and know it’s going to be a painful few years. But Franklin was not the right fit, and was arrogant about it.

Well he certainly needed to go. Probably after LAST season.

That said…Pat Fitzgerald was sitting on the couch watching college football on TV when they fired Franklin.

Of course, now that I think about it deeper, the Hazing thing probably kept Penn St from making THAT call considering took them a while to recover from the Sandusky situation.

They probably felt they had to take a wide berth with him even given a judge ruled in Pat’s favor.
