I liked him in the draft… Crazy they cut a 1st rounder after less than 2 years, must be something going on we don’t know about. Lions are dead last in the waiver claim, no way he makes it to them.

I highly doubt the Lions look at Forbes. Washington’s defense isn’t exactly loaded, and they still released him. Forbes has great hands, but he is WAYYY to light. 160lb DB’s are not going to work in the NFL. He gets blown off the ball immediately, can’t tackle, and he has been known for blowing coverage chasing picks.
Forbes needs to spend a lot of time getting his body frame bigger if he wants to play in the NFL. It worked in college, but the NFL is a different animal. Even Nate Wiggins is struggling, and he is 180ish I believe.

Forbes is listed at 180 as well, though he played lighter in college.
I agree that the Lions wouldn’t sign him if he still struggles in run support… Can’t play WR or CB for this team if you don’t help in the run game.
