We are The Legion Of Whom.

Which is super cute until you’re playing a championship-caliber team.

The Rudy shit is for Disney, not reality.

Dan was definitely a little reckless last night IMO.

As always, an ESPNbaby topic is pure gold!

Tell that to Tom Kennedy! He’s been in the nfl for like 10 years. 5 foot nothing, 1 hundred and nothing. He’s basically Rudy

That issue seems to have re-surfaced.

It wasn’t an issue in 2024 because the Lions had a high success rate and went 15-2.

I will say this. I could get behind this kind of go for broke approach when the Lions defense was bad or marginal. But this year the defense has in my mind has leveled up a notch. And if you have a defense that can get teams off the field and create turnovers you use it. You punt more, you pin teams back. You sometimes wait for them to make the mistakes.

By going for it all game on 4th down and being 0-5 or was it 0-6 you have eliminated putting the Philly offense under any pressure and by default have put your defense under pressure the whole gave. Eliminating their ability to maybe take more risks and blitz more because they gotta try to hold serve.

An offense calls plays way different when inside their own 20 or even 10 yard line.

Last night was a game that you might want to play conservative and see if the other guys will make a mistake. Instead by calling such a recklessly aggressive game MCDC never allowed his defense to put Philly under any pressure.

Exactly!

I Love Dan, and his is our coach, but he drives me crazy.

He admitted the team would have had a better chance of winning if he had played more conservatively and punted, but said it is who he is.

So he is basically saying he will continue to do it.

We just have to hope the execution is better.

A group of Lions fans started a GoFundMe today to pay for Dan’s treatment

Helpline Home - National Council on Problem Gambling(1%2D800%2D522,50%20states%20and%20U.S.%20territories.

He is universally celebrated for his huge balls when that shit works.

So he keeps doing it.

I mean how many times have you seen the meme with him carting giant balls in a wheelbarrow

Like a gazillion.

Can’t have it both ways. Either you support Dan having no off button or you don’t. Can’t decide whether you support it only after you see the result.

Doesn’t the HC get paid to put his team in the best position to win the game?

He didn’t do that last night.

Absolutely…thats why I quit bitching about him going for it on 4th down. I stopped that shit after the NFC Champs game because I had just grown to learn that that is who Dan is… :man_shrugging:

I think even Dan will admit that. In fact, he did at the presser. With that OL, he cannot maintain his ultra-aggressive approach, where he runs a take what we want style offense. He tried to do it yesterday but the Eagles DL was having none of that and Dan, seemingly, didn’t adjust to that. Trust me I have gone back and forth with my Dad over the phone about this. Dad is so pissed at Dan…almost at my mom’s level of piss with Jerry Jones :joy:
