The entire NFC North drafted quarterbacks, this year. And as with everything else going forward, the Lions are just a bit better than the rest of them.
Edit: I guess I must be using clairvoyance in this post, since the Bears have not drafted a qb yet.
I’ll just reiterate that the “no depth chart in the war room” is a fallacy.
That’s not a criticism of anyone here or the front office. It’s just reality. The team is drafting for its team, not an idealistic collection of arbitrary grades.
What I’ve seen from Holmes in the the draft scores he’s attained seems 100% genuine to me. We’ve seen multiple reactions that run the gamut. I think an uber-competitive ex-player (even collegiate) who has remained in a competitive industry and isn’t just a pocket-protector-wearing propeller-head can react the way he has naturally.
I think they are young enough to compete with us for a handful of years, & their GM is kicking ass too…
That said, winning is “the glue” over there. I like what you say, & I can see how shit could get very dicey in Philly if they underwent any sort of losing.
Our guys can overcome emotional drama. That is our advantage for sure.
It may take us a year or 2 to get past 'em…but probably not.
They have great defensive line…for sure…but we have the ultimate “hot route” situation.
I Like our O against their D.
I like their O against our D too, for right now. Gonna be a blood bath of a game.
I like the lions in that matchup. Why you ask? Big plays, culture, & mental set, heart set.
…& some of us (not mentioning any names) have massively negative reactions to every pick.
What is cringy to some is completely normal to others. Positive vs Negative mindset. Some people are reaching for happiness, while others are seeking a cortisol hit.
