100%, bro. They DGAF about any of the “writers” or “opinion polls”, which is really what the “experts” are.
What I’ve seen from Holmes in the the draft scores he’s attained seems 100% genuine to me. We’ve seen multiple reactions that run the gamut. I think an uber-competitive ex-player (even collegiate) who has remained in a competitive industry and isn’t just a pocket-protector-wearing propeller-head can react the way he has naturally.
I’ve taken it a little differently. I believe the Lions are trying to build a culture of high emotions, strong work ethic, and frankly bite the enemy in the kneecap mentality. And they may not have realized that you can overdo it. They are after all, still rather new on the job.
Now for the fall out boy portion of the draft
…& some of us (not mentioning any names) have massively negative reactions to every pick.
What is cringy to some is completely normal to others. Positive vs Negative mindset. Some people are reaching for happiness, while others are seeking a cortisol hit.No big deal either way. To each his own.
I’ve hit the full roller coaster this weekend, ups & downs. It’s been a fun ride!

Also - the guy hasn’t slept more than 4 hours straight in the last month. LOL.
He’s living off of Red Bull & coffee right now
We have come to the point in the draft where ESPN figures that people would rather watch a taped performance from a band that was last relevant in 2010 instead of announcements of future players. hmmmm.
Great. The Vikings got Jarren Hall. Don’t like that AT ALL!

Wow, your feed is really delayed.
A T Perry is still on the board?
I don’t know but a Band Called Perry is and they’re up after Fall Out Boy.
Still lots of intriguing players left:
Trey Palmer, Iosivas, AT Perry, Ford-Wheaton, Tanner McKee, Zach Evans, Zack Kuntz, Jaelyn Duncan, Warren McClendon, John Ojukwu, Jaxson Kirkland, Jake Witt, Ekiyor, Vorhees, Wypler, Ojomo, Still, Redmond, Brooks, Jerrod Clark, Andre Carter, Ivan Pace, Jeremy Banks, Jaylon Jones, Carrington Valentine, Hodges-Tomlinson, Mekhi Garner, Cory Trice, Kei’Trel Clark, Kaevon Merriweather, Jason Taylor, Brandon Joseph, Skinner…
Pretty sure a decent chunk of those will make it to our pick.
Yes
Buggs is retaining a bigger role than I had hoped, but if Martin comes in and shares a heavy percentage of the snaps, then we’ve competently hit every clearly-lacking position on the depth-chart this off-season.
We’re looking at 1 more draft pick coming, leaving room for 17 SFA/UDFA/Post-draft Trades:

Seeing as how even before the draft, the Lions were already favored to win the North this season, I get the draft strategy - plug some holes and improve some positions. This doesnt seem like a “building your team” draft, as opposed to say what the Bears have done. I def think the Lions are improved after this draft, but imo, the Bears did more to improve THEIR own team, than we did ours…which makes sense, as they are building foundations and need alot of dudes, while the Lions should be relatively set foundation-wise and ascending. Both teams got better, but hopefully the Lions ARE better at this point.
Yeah
we already have those foundations, we just need to shore it up, which i believe we did this draft personally, even with the chaos and craziness of everything that happend
Bears need to rebuild that Defense, invested alot of resources into the defensive line
NOOOOOOOOOOOO
KARL BROOKS IS A PACKER
Was just coming over here to tell you this. Now I hope he sucks lol.
Kei’trel Clark went as well, really liked him.
Im in absolute pain rn
Nothing worse than your faves going to division rivals.
