Because it’s obvious the rookies we drafted last year are done. Whoever we draft in round 5 is likely to beat out Barnes and J Davis.

Davis is who he is, but I think Barnes will be much better year 2.

Linebackers: Malcolm Rodriguez and Aaron Hansford are probably the only 2 LBs left that I’m interested in.
Tight End: I like both Cade Otton and Jake Ferguson because of their blocking potential and effort.
Cornerback: Zyon McCollum, Tariq Woolen, and Josh Williams.
Defensive Tackle: Ottito Ogbonnia who is an athletic Nose Tackle that can push the pocket back.
Guard: Darian Kinnard and Marquis Hayes who are both mauling guards.

I’m cool with whatever they do…

Howell → his floor is a nice backup!
Safety depth
TE → play ST
LB → ST guys
KR/PR specialist - is there one available? …what I’d really like!

They only have 1 5th. 2 6ths

I believe Josh Rose was a team captain so there is a chance.

We do though. It’s next year’s. If Brad wants a guy, he’ll package a deal and go get 'em.

He said last night if there is a guy they want today they will try to move up and get him.

Also… I think @CuriousHusker mentioned this guy before… and may be a lottle redundant with Paschal… but it’s a late pick….

I would actually trade out late 6th and next years 3rd to move up for Howell.

He may never be a starter, but his first 2 years of tape were damn good… he then played with no help, no OL and battled by trying to win with his legs…

I don’t think this late it’s really a threat to Goffs role, and thus his confidence.

I see Howell as a Jake Plummer type…. His grit and legs could hold a team together for 4/5 games if a starter goes down and his upside would make him a top 5-6 backup in my opinion

When you have a good floor, high ceiling, and a 1.2M cap number in your backup QB, it’s money that can spent elsewhere.

Don’t trade next year’s third. Sit tight until at least later in the round. I’m fine moving next year’s 4th and one of the picks around 180.

I wonder if Strong might keep falling bc of the knees and mobility concerns.

I would love to let the guy rehab and then impress someone next year in preseason so we can flip him for a 2nd or 3rd. I think he’s a good investment. You don’t complete 70% of your passes on accident.

In my opinion picks in 2023 with a better draft class are more interesting than all of available players now. We should just trade up for all remaining picks from this year but no future picks.

We’d need our target to slide about 20-25 picks.

I don’t even want Strong… I feel bad for the kid, but this is one we already know…. His knees are done.

Howell is a faster Baker with maybe a stronger arm. His 68 TDs and just 14 ints as a freshman and sophomore is real.

Trading a 4th and 6th who likely won’t make the team since we have like 80,guys under contract to upgrade from Boyle to Howell would be huge

I have no idea if Strong’s knees are toast. I love the arm talent though.

I like Howell. I think he’s got more upside than Baker. Better vertical thrower, better athlete, less of a clown. Not as accurate as Baker was coming out of college. Not sure what happened there.
