Zone? Cool. Wheres the blitz? Crossing route behind the blitzer. Easy completion.
I’m concerned that Bain purposely lost too much weight and it drastically hurt his abilities.

While I get the Lions have not won it all yet, I don’t understand the gloom and doom with some fans. I mean if you can’t get some excitement every year whether its rebuilding or have a good team why bother even watching. Misery loves company I guess

Pats just gave up 35 on D despite perhaps the best outside CB duo in the league so I doubt their front seven was all that.
Who is Marty? How many teams have looked like contenders to you? Did you think the 2025 Patriots, Broncos, and Seahawks were SB contenders in week 3? Or week 10 even?

I don’t know how anybody can watch the Lions defense and think the defensive line is the big issue. Baffling to me. Also, it’s 3 games into Moore’s rookie season so can we chill with the hyperbole in terms of his ineffectiveness and the “we’re good” joke got played out a long time ago.
The issue is the secondary, it’s arguably the worst in the league and it’s actually DJ Reed who is supposed to be their stabilizer back there that always seems to be in the picture when a big play happens. It’s a tough situation when your two star safeties, one of which you’re committing tons of money too, can’t get on the field and when the secondary looks confused often times. I don’t think Derrick Moore is the problem here.
I think we stick it out with Reed as one starter. We need an outside CB2. I think Harper can be fine at safety. Maybe Fitzgerald as well. But if we want to trade a day 3 pick for a safety as well I’m open to it.
Personally I’d prefer we pass on Porter and go after the best option we can find for a 4th. I think we can probably find a credible option at that price point. The Packers got Douglas and a 5th for a 3rd back in 2023 when he was still a legitimate starting CB. I’d prefer a deal along those lines. Still or Hart from SD would be nice bc it cheaply fills CB2 for 2027 as well.
