The loss in GB is because Dan sat all key players and felt sorry for the Pack because they were 0-16

Talent wise there is no reason the Lions should not go at least 10-7. Now however we have to look at the hate-factor. Ford’s have allowed the Lion’s to be treated like doormats by the refs and media for 60 years. Not saying the Lion’s didn’t deserve it with all the disfunction. Point is even after righting the organization expect Green Bay (national following) both New Yorks(NY media darlings) New England (national following) and of course the always pampered Cowboys (Jim Caldwell won that playoff game) to factor in again. Yeah I am that cynical about the NFL.

14-7 wouldn’t shock me.
I’m going with 11-6.
I don’t see it as Kool Aid drunk. I see it as realistic evaluation of available information.
Some folks just can’t allow themselves to be optimistic.

I think with exactly the same roster as last year, but healthy of course, they would win 2-3 more games this year. Simply based on the schedule, availability of key players and experience of both players and coaches. Including Lynn not being OC.
That would put them at 5-6 wins. They won’t be playing playoff caliber teams week in week out this season, and they added some pretty good weapons. Now we see that the schedule has even more perks, like short travel, Lions get more rest days than anybody but Buffalo. Look at the attitude these players are showing. It isn’t false bravado, or it would have been gone before they ever won a game last year.
10 wins at least. Other teams are not going to like playing the Lions.
Oh, Green Bay has the least rest days of any team. We are taking the division.

The key is staying healthy

Love it! Not amount of success Dan Campbell has would surprise me. I don’t view it as overly-optimistic either. No less "realist " than the “5 wins guys”

I think it’s noteworthy that at least 3 cheap, young, developing players who contributed on Sundays last season have already been cut to make room on the 90 man roster. Does that happen on other teams?

Good point.

For those of you who aren’t keeping score, those cut players are Jesse Lemonier, Jalen Elliott and Tavante Beckett.

Sometimes they’re early cuts so they have a chance to catch on. Remember just a week or so ago 2 players were claimed.

Pretty sure I love you, man! Tearing up.

I see 13 as the ceiling, and actually think my 10 win prediction was conservative AF, while some ppl think I’m crazy.
I think the floor is 8…like if Goff gets injured…8

I see a late season run, especially if J-Will doesn’t come on until after the bye

I see the confidence in Dan Campbell…like he knows something nobody else knows. It’s coming, my brother. This year is gonna be fun.
