Who do we want?
If Koa Peat is in the draft and is there at 21 then he’d be a coup. Arizona is trying to get a $4/5m offer together and see if he’ll come back for one more year.
What a brutal lottery result for the Pacers and coup for the Clippers.
That Zubac trade is awful for the Pacers. Got fleeced.
I hope we don’t pick in this draft. No rookie is going to be able to make the same impact on our team moving forward as someone we could acquire via trade.
This team is clearly in it’s window now. The time to win is now. It would take even a very good rookie four years or so to become a truly valuable player at the top of the league.
Honestly, I’d rather Memphis take Wilson than Boozer. I don’t see nothing great from Boozer in Chicago.
Trade for Giannis
I see it both ways, we have a young team so I say squeeze another 2 years out of Tobias and trade Ron Holland and maybe move up a few picks and get a scorer.
We’re at the point the where the Pistons are going to have to start paying players and they are going to need cheap talented contracts because players will be paid by other teams and you can’t keep everybody. Honestly, I like Cam Carr.
He keeps defensive foundation but a scorer. 6’5 athletic with 7"2 wing span
I disagree unless it’s a haul of picks including this one for a high end #2 option or 1A.
With the new Duren contract, and lets be honest they’re going to overpay him, and Ausar’s contract coming up soon thereafter, the Pistons are going to lose a lot of depth guys due to the cap crunch and are going to need cheap young talent to contribute so while the player who gets taken at this portion of the NBA draft is less likely to contribute than an NFL pick in this range for instance I think the Pistons are going to need to try to get somebody who can contribute and give them bang for their buck.
Personally I’d look to package Duren plus some 1sts to see what they can get but I just don’t see that happening. I think Langdon will be much like other Detroit GMs and be big on culture and sticking with his guys so I don’t see a big trade in the offing.
I would move Duren to new orleans for Murphy, Queen and a 1st rd pick.
It’ll take WAY more to get that package.
Pistons need a shooter
This is what I meant for the record. It’s time for that type of move.
OKC avoided “that move” because they have Shai AND Chet AND Jalen Williams. We don’t have our Jalen Williams.
The Knicks traded for KAT, Bridges, Anunoby, and maybe Josh Hart. The Spurs traded for Fox. The Wolves traded for Gobert.
Unless you have 26 first round picks in 7 drafts, the blueprint is pretty clear these days. Get a young superstar through the draft along with one or two other solid contributors (which we have), and surround them with established NBA talent via trade.

Jack Fox?
2 sport athlete?
You mean for Detroit? Duren is an all-star. So I think New Orleans would bite.
Trade the pick
That pick needs to be the Dunkin or Beef Stew replacement to take over after a year of learning on the bench squad. Younger, cheaper, more control is how you keep 3 big contracts
I like younger, and cheaper…but I prefer handsomer. Our guys could use a big lift in that department.
