Detroit Pistons Season

Even last year Ausar was making progress. Based on his work in Cleveland and last year in Detroit, Bickerstaff obviously knows how to develop young talent. I suspect we will be much better at the end of the year than we are right now.

Pistons 1-8 from the field. Not a great start

Chauncey took the under so he’s pumped

We looked a little dicey at the beginning.

Very.

It was nice to see Cade take over in the 2nd half. This is the first game that I have seen the ā€˜giant step’ that all the talking heads claim that he made.

Question: I see Malik Beasley hasn’t signed with anyone, why is that? I thought he was cleared of everything?

There must be something teams don’t like about Beasley. I know he’s been cleared from gambling according to the law but I wonder if there’s more to the story that teams want no part of? The Feds have ended their case but the league continues to investigate him for allegations of meddling in prop bets while with Milwaukee. I can’t help but go back to this play at the very end of game 6 against the Knicks. Pistons are down by three, Cade throws the ball to a wide open Beasley and he fumbles it out of bounds. I’m not going to say he was rigging the game, I’m just going to say that it was a very suspicious gaffe for a guy playing at the Y, let alone for a long time NBA veteran. It was just a very suspicious play, even at the time, before any allegations came out. There has to be some reason why teams aren’t signing a guy who made 319 three-pointers last year…in a league that salivates over players who can hit the long ball.

Rozier was cleared two years ago and is now back in the hot water so nobody’s going to touch anybody right now with even a sniff of that.

In addition Beasley was a financial train wreck outside of the gambling and probably part of the whole situation. He was evicted from his place he had liens to Jewelers and other loan places and in general profiles as a guy who is probably not a locker room presence you want. Especially with young guys on a young team like that. He’s not as nuclear as somebody who’s been caught but he’s in mid-meltdown

I barely watched any Piston games in the last 12 years but I did watch that game and thought it was super sketch that he dropped that ball.

Also Dunkin Robinson has played pretty damn well since his opening night disaster which while I may have overreacted to I still feel pretty confident that he is not a guy that is a net positive for a ball Club.

I get they really need his one skill and you do have to question what happens to the lineup when Ivey comes back. I mean if they try to convince Ivey to be the scoring leader Off the Bench I think that pretty much kills chances of him resigning with the team especially to keep a guy like Robinson in the starting lineup when Ivey had his three-point shot working a whole lot better last year. Not to Robinson’s level of course.

Adding Robinson to that bench group gives them a pretty healthy ability to score and play defense with a group that has Stewart Holland Levert and Robinson along with probably one starter that’s left out there with them.

Also my voice to text has creatively spelled Robinson’s first name I’m going to leave it that way because I like it

This overseas shit is dumb. Clocks aren’t working. ā– ā– ā– ā–  off nba

I am currently watching the Pistons on Telemundo because I don’t feel like turning on Peacock. Interestingly enough, I am finding the play by play and color commentary less grating when I can only pick up a few words here and there.
