Signed by the Tigers as a non-drafted free agent on Nov. 2, 2016 (signing scout: Jim Bretz)
Bobby Scales, new Tigers radio color guy, after Maeda gave up a no doubter HR to Luis Robert,
Did a Rod Allen!
âCouldnt sneak a piece of cheese past a ratâ
Maeda is a turd
F ucking prize FA already has given up 5 runs. Harris tried the money ball way
Tigers 2-0
Apparently me deciding to pay attention this year isnât stopping them from coming back to win critical games. Maybe this summer wonât be boring after allâŚ
The hot takes keep on comâin, only 159 games to go!!
LOL.
Good bullpen pitching today and some key plays on defense. McKinstry and Meadows with huge plays with the glove and Tork with a great scoop.
Game ends just in time for tipoff of IL vs Uconn, can IL pull it offâŚ
I think last year they mainly played the AL East to start the year and basically killed the season for them.
What hot take? Dude is a average sp.

Tigers notebook: Manager AJ Hinch in no rush to name a closer or set specific bullpen roles
Full article at the link:
âŚHe, of course, is manager AJ Hinch and he very pointedly has not and will not (at least not yet) declare a closer or lock in any specific roles for his six leverage-eligible relievers. âŚ
Foley thought he might get the call in the seventh inning Thursday. The White Sox had five straight right-handed hitters coming up. Instead, Hinch called on Shelby Miller. One, because Millerâs high-extension fastball and bullet slider offered a stark contrast to what theyâd faced from lefty Tarik Skubal for six innings. Two, Hinch knew it wasnât the last time those hitters would come to bat.
âGoing into the game, there is no telling how itâs going to play out, both in situations and who weâre going to use,â Hinch said. âWhen I decided to use Shelby, that pocket is going to come around again in the ninth. I started thinking about how weâre going to get to the finish line and I liked the combination we had (Miller and Foley) with (lefty Andrew) Chafin sandwiched in between them.
âItâs not hard to put Jason Foley in the game. Itâs harder to wait to put him in the game.â
It helped, too, that Foleyâs power sinker, which he was throwing 100 and 101 mph, is a devastating pitch to most right-handed hitters and has been a particular problem for Robert and Eloy Jimenez, who hit in the third and fourth spots in the White Sox order.
Two none power hitters hit HRs vs the Tigers
Ibanez with a two out single to give the Tigers a 3-2 lead going to the bottom of the ninth.
