I think Carpenter is called up soon, one of the main reasons why Grossman is gone. Guy has hit at AA and AAA , can he do it in the biggest jump of them all? We have two months to find out, git er done.

I’m not sure how trading Grossman and Fulmer is a burning the roster down moment. One struggling OF and a BP guy that was gone after this season anyways.

I think it will happen in the offseason. They were supposed to contend this year. I am sure they will use the injury excuse and give them another year.
Just glad we didn’t trade skubal or Greene. That’s the future, whatever our future is

I didn’t go to a lot of baseball games in my life, but I was at this one, sitting with my dad in the right field seats. We could use a guy like this with 1 of our high draft picks.

He was truly the definition of a generational player. Not only how he played but also just one of those players every kid loved, regardless of the team.
When Henning starts to talk/imply that you are gone, well, you are probably gone. He has been used as a mouthpiece by this team before and he is now implying Avila won’t make it past this year.
