Man really loading up on vet corners. The more competition the better. Another guy with a fair bit of starting experience.

Another 5’9 CB too !

We like them short , scrappy ones

Cool. I like it. Inside outside versatility. He’s been more consistent than Sin when healthy IMO. Probably leans more slot but this is nice.

Whether it’s Sin or Maddox that makes it they are going to have to prove their worth in camp. Iron sharpens iron unless it’s the nutrient iron. Can’t cut shit with that.

Maddox has a pinch of gambler to him. I kind of like that bc as of yet that’s not something that our corners have. If he think he sees it Avante is going for the pick.

Loving all the depth CB signings. We havent had that in 5+ years.

Now about safety

Can he pay at the edge…asking for a friend?

Anyone can be an edge when you blitz…

So the Lions now have 73!!! Players on the roster.

AFTER the draft, (BEFORE UDFA) last year the lions had ~ 69? With the Lions (currently) having 7 draft picks. That means theres only 10 openings!

GREAT signing. This one is much better than the sin-rocker.

Lions will add an edge or maybe two…

in 34-35 days.

Holmes can’t move the draft to an earlier date…
and it seems prett obvious that he isn’t willing to pay older guys the kind of money they are hoping to get.

We should be thankful he is smart enough to avoid overpaying any of the guys available.

Good to know…yes we need playmakers back there.

And we get to stick it to Howie stealing a depth guy. â– â– â– â–  the Eagles. :upside_down_face:

How I see it:

CB- Arnold , DJ Reed, Amik

NB- Rakestraw, (Amik), Maddox

ST/depth - Dorsey , Sin, S.T.O

Seems like the UFA signings might just about done.

Even if they trade up in the draft and end up with less draft choices… that still doesn’t leave too many spots for UDFAs.

Yes agreed. I assumed we would target veteran CB depth in free agency to develop with our young studs Arnold and Rake from last year’s draft.

I highly doubted we would add a CB on day 1 / day 2 of the draft.

Allows us to focus on the trenches.

I know, I know… BPA Brad.

But also, teams draft for what they need and the best player at that need.

And we NEED trenches. It’s who we are.

Not used to the, “Sign 'em all and let God sort 'em out”, approach.

Hope some rubs off on Arnold to get him looking for the ball more. TA would/ will scare QBs from throwing his way when he starts looking for the ball and getting picks.

Seem like upgrades over Vildor/Moseley.

Not gonna lie haven’t keep up with him… and when I watch that Eagles D the past 5 years or so they are loaded with other talent can’t say he stood out.

I liked Jourdan Lewis and I know you liked Brown and a coupe others for NB.

How does he compare to them type of dudes as a NB or NB2?
