From the looks of things, I’ll be in MI in summer, and FL for winter, for the foreseeable future. BOOM!!!
Would I like a cold summer beer or a hot chocolate?
I’ll take the crisp summer beer every time
Alabama? Almost didn’t vote, hell no…. NC yes.
It just means the other 61% haven’t been properly diagnosed by a reputable doctor yet.

Call me crazy then. I was born and raised in Michigan and loved the winters. I have lived in either Florida or Georgia since 2005. I have acclimated to many southern things but the heat and humidity is something I still cannot stand. Give me Michigan weather anytime
It’s not that I prefer cold weather to hot - I just prefer snow to hurricanes. I’d rather wear a coat in winter than have my house relocated by a tornado. I’d rather shovel than deal with fire ants, scorpions, snakes, huge roaches, and alligators on my lawn.
Luckily, I don’t really have to choose. Live in Michigan, vacay in warmer places. Easy easy, if you’ve got the cash.
I’ve only been run over by a golf cart in Michigan.
This is the correct answer. Stay down near the coast. Ocean currents keep the winters and summers mild. Lots of fresh fish.
From Rochester, NY, originally. I live in DC
One of the1st thing our young government agreed on was —Summer recess!
It is SO hot and humid here without air movement … been here since 1993 … about that “hoax” … it was bad, HAS gotten worse … there is always a 10+ stretch of murderous days, I melt. I get colder more easily now that I’m old, but I can still deal with that more than the heat. You can dress for that, but even naked won’t help you in August here!

Ugh, that mid-continent belt is the worst of both worlds. DC, Memphis, St. Louis… blech.
Outside of the places where the weather is always perfect, I would probably choose Charleston, WV for climate. Similar summers to Michigan, but with much more mild winters. The elevation really makes a difference.
Elevation in Arizona is also good. I was really impressed by Flagstaff. Plus, it’s only a two-hour drive to warm weather in the winter.

I thought Charleston was in NC. Different one?
Ha! I’m a dope! I’ve been there. It is lovely little city America.
I lived in fl for 3 years. It can get really cold there. But I perfer winters to be 40ish and summers to be 80ish. I love being out doors. Winters also take too damn long.
Highest # of sunny days/year → FL
It matters. I didn’t know it, until I actually lived there, consistently. Every time I get off that airplane in Orlando, I feel happy, no matter where I’ve been. Always good to get back to the palm trees and amazing stuff that Orlando offers. I truly feel like I live in a vacation.
I love MI and how everything is turning green. I LOVE how MI fall turns into a color explosion too. I’m in awe of it. I feel like I’m getting it right, in that regard.
I lucked out and have the best of both worlds. I moved to Prescott AZ 7 weeks ago.
Day temps, a dry 80 degrees, night temps, 42-48 degrees.
Locals say in mid summer we will hit 90 once in a while, but it’s a dry 90 and still in the 60’s after sunset.
The high desert is FANTASTIC!
But then you’d have to learn to how to play the banjo and open a can of beans with your teeth.
