Good stuff. Although I would consider this the version the NFL wants to share, they generally want to diffuse the situation and profit. That’s what I’ve seen from them in the past.

The CBA only mentions that the starting amount of picks will be 256 picks… but forfeited picks are not “replaced”… and the new “special” comp picks given out to teams that had a minority coach or executive hired away do not count in that number.
In 2017… there were 253 picks due to multiple picks being forfeited.
in 2022… there was 262 picks as 7 picks were awarded for hirings and 1 pick was forfeited by Saints (Covid protocol violations).
