Don't look now, but Deeetroit Basketball

might actually be back. The Pistons looked like the far superior team in their win on the road versus the Nets. They are 5-0 in 2025. They are above .500 at 19-18. JB has them playing real defense. They have not missed Ivey. Cade has taken a big step forward, and while he’s not the most efficient player, he’ll get you a bucket when you need it. Beasley is one of the top three point shooters. These guys might actually be … good.

I’ve been watching them and have been pretty excited. They definitely have some pieces now and you’re right, BB has them playing so much better than Monty. Night and day difference. I think losing Ivey will hurt us in a long term but so far so good. Much easier to watch this team this year for sure. I love playoff basketball. Hopefully they can get back to the postseason. While Sasser isn’t Ivey, he does bring energy and a decent shooting touch off the bench.

Almost unfathomable that we haven’t won a playoff game in 16 years. That level of ineptness takes careful planning.

What an utter waste of a year. Criminal that we still have to pay this guy.

Beef stew off the bench - second leading shot blocker in the league.
Holland plays some really tough D, he looks like a player.
You’re right, I like Sasser, also a pesky defensive player.
The only mild disappointment has been Ausar, but his defense is still VG.
It seems that we finally have some toughness on the floor.

Ausar was a terrible offensive prospect. He may in time become only bad.

Andre Iguodala (GSW, not Philly version) was the ceiling comp on him.

Every team needs a couple defense centric guys (Salley and Rodman, Mike James and Tayshaun), but a 5th on him was rough.

That’s a great comp.
But hell, can Ausar ever run the floor. He’s a ferrari out there. Hopefully, he’ll figure out how to make that more of a weapon.

So, non Pistons but yet NBA related.
I am going to the Heat Nuggets game on Friday, company i consult with has a suite that is used for clients and I’m going in place of the owner.
Who’s good on these teams?
I really don’t pay attn to the NBA but all the clients are based in Miami and are diehard Heat fanatics…

Wings have been on a heater since replacing Lalonde too… 7 in a row… Look like a completely different team. Amazing what moving a few players around and a new strategy can do.

Denver has some big center from Serbia. He’s goofy lookin as fock.

I think his last name is Joker, or something like that.

Ah, I know of him, lol. But forgot he played for Denver

He shows some flashes and I’m willing to scrape his rookie-Monty year off the books. Let’s see if BB can turn him into a little bit better shooter. I like some of what I see, but I think his ceiling is probably about 12 points.

Maybe he can be turned into Ron Artest with a head that’s screwed on correctly.

Nicola Jokic. Really good player. That’s about all I know on Denver, Miami has a guy Herro who’s really good too. Have fun!

I think it’s the law that if you are a 7’ center from Serbia, then you have to be a goofy looking bastard.

Hell of a win tonight against a fully healthy Knicks team. Cade is blossoming into a superstar in front of our very eyes and Beasley is the freaking man, get that man signed. Really fun team and dare I say? A Good team?

c’mon man, the Tigers were thrilling last year!

The Tigers won a playoff series last year. How long has it been since the Wings or Pistons have even been in the playoffs? I’d say the Tigers are ahead of both teams in their rebuild.

Sometimes, your hatred causes you to post silly things.

I still love you, though.

Great win tonight. All four pro sports teams are kicking ass in Detroit.

Im sorry but a bunch of minor league guys playing 300% above expected is not sustainable. Thats like the Wings calling up guys from the Walleye or Pistons calling up the G league and expecting them to be super stars.

And what have the tigers done this off season to build on that “success”? Nothing.

Lateral moves across the board.
The only thing they are banking on is the young guys growing into stars.

Cool Tigers might make the playoffs again. Will the win the Comedy Central? Not likely. Will they make the final 4? Definitely not.

How ‘bout that Michigan basketball team as well? (For those who care, and I see no college basketball category on the Den anywhere…). Those two 7’ center/power forward/guards in Wolf and Goldin are ■■■■■■■ wild…if that team keeps gelling, along with Dusty May looking like the real deal type of coach, they could legit be a deep tourney run team imo.
