I have been cautiously optimistic. Itā€™s unusual for a team to improve this much in one year. Iā€™ve been afraid that it was mostly smoke and mirrors.

Iā€™m really starting to believe now though. A 20 point win against Boston is something.

Sure, how about youā€™ve been watching them Marty, but Cade is turning into a star, Duren, Thompson, and Beasley are very good players. Holland is a pretty good rookie. Shroder improves that second unit quite a bit. This team should continue to get better. Thereā€™s growth there.

But I agree with you, Bickerstaff should get coach of the year. Heā€™s been outstanding too.

Thereā€™s actual stats that show Detroit is in a golden age when it comes to all sports being relatively successful at the same time. Iā€™ll try and find the chart.

As far as the Pistons go, Iā€™ll watch if they ever make a run (which is doubtful with the NBAā€™s landscape) but man ā€¦ basketball has become almost unwatchable for me.

Their getting better indeed. But a very average team, btw its not a bad thing. Pistons 04 was pretty average but they played as a team, so J.B gets a ton of credit for that. Cade is turning into superstar. Next year will be the big test

Ausarā€™s offensive game looks so undeveloped, but that defenseā€¦ā€¦.

Heā€™s explosive on the offensive side and can run the floor, but he does tend to lose focus too often when drivingā€¦often times while uncontested going to the hoop. But itā€™s still early in his career and heā€™s definitely got some game. But youā€™re right, he is tenacious on defense. I think he will continue to improve and will turn into a very good pro.

again, he missed time so his development is behind his brother rn, but he absolutely can develp into a true 2 way 3 and D player.

If he can get that jumper going, he could legit be the 2nd best player on this team, and thats not a joke.

I definitely think thereā€™s times where he shows a ton of flashes on offense too. Obviously heā€™s not super polished on that end, but the athleticism pops, and heā€™s a jumper away from being a good offensive player.

I would be happy with some free throw development. That should be his first thing. That way he can be on the floor in the clutch times and not worry about getting to the line.

I wonder how many other times Boston shoots 49 three pointers, makes over 40% of them, and loses by 20? We outscored them 62-20 in the paint.
Ausarā€™s movements reminds me of Rodman, heā€™s just faster than everyone else. I think he could become a DPOY like the Worm.
