That would be a GREAT draft. Alas that site hasn’t normalized their rankings yet, and about the only guy on that list I see being available that low is Ioane. I’ve seen both Smith and Stukes mocked in the 1st recently! And Miller and Trotter in the 1st a lot of times.
That would be a crazy good draft. Some deep value.
I think he’s almost certain to go in the 1st. Never made that final leap people were hoping he would make, but was still pretty damn good, and no one on Clemson made a leap this year. And like @CuriousHusker said, the process was made for guys like him to jump up the boards.
Senior Bowl Measurements are out
Holy Ja’Kobi Lane
Ja’Kobi Lane (USC)
Height: 6’4 1/8″
Weight: 196 pounds
Arm length: 32 5/8″
Hand size: 10 3/8″
Finally, some arm and hand length measurements.
I heard Lane had a rough day yesterday. Not a great look for a WR where the one-on-ones favor them so strongly, but at least he’s the type of bigger WR where it’s a little trickier.
Do they take the same measurements from the Shrine Bowl? I saw some very interesting prospects in this game. The LB from UTSA had an outstanding game but I think there are some size concerns. The edge guys from Duke and Wisconsin impressed as well. The UCLA OG looked good and he plays all 5 spots including center.
Shad Banks ![]()
yeah he really didnt have the best one, but damn, those arm and hand hand measurements are nasty, if he can actually grow, could be a very good X reciever
My issue with him was never his size, but his lack of juice. And I don’t really see that changing no matter how much he grows.
Well I suppose he could grow all the way into a TE
I think they do their own measurements in Mobile, though I don’t know if it’s subcontracted out to the same people or not. I know there was big controversy last year in the difference between Senior Bowl measurements and combine measurements, but I think it was the combine guys who got it wrong. Or they were the ones taking the heat anyway.
Sounds like he’s a little lower than 17, but may be a good trade down target? I wonder if he can play LT.
Also yeah.. Im on TJ parker now i think, he looked good overall, those long arm rushes are putting those lineman in the cleaner
Big concern though was his regression this past year but damn he is talented, idk what happend but Clemson was just a mess this year
The power was always his game. He just looked really unexplosive on his 2025 tape, it’s something we have to reconcile. But there was a definite overcorrection by most people (not @CuriousHusker to his credit). I still think he’s probably a late-1st, early 2nd rounder due to average traits, but some people pushed him a lot lower than that.
I think he’d be there with a trade down, though it’s really hard to pinpoint where the rising OTs end up going. And he for sure has the traits to play LT, though he played the vast majority of his games on the right side. We’d be asking him to make the same switch many DON’T want to ask Penie to make, despite having much more experience on the left side.
Moore looked good as well. Maybe take the best ot and then Moore in round two. Still would like a trade down. There isnt I have to have player waiting in the wings with that pick.

God Damn Ted Hurst, you have my attention lol
Note to self: xxxMarkel Bellxxx
LOL, J/K its one rep.
He has been one of the big winners. I try not to get too wrapped up in WRs when they win - like I said, the one-on-ones favor the WRs so strongly I really only take note when they DON’T win - but a bigger guy like Hurst doing stuff at the top of his route is worth noticing. Plus you just want to see him square up against better comp, just like any small school guy.
Of course I’d be shocked if we take any WR, so I’m really only watching the CBs there.
Yeah, and remember last year at this time it was Mike Green steamrolling Josh Conerly like that, and Conerly just had 5X the rookie season Green did.
