Draft talk 2025/2026

I just saw that. I guess I like Blake a little better now. I think that could also bring Max into the picture at 17.

It will be really, really difficult not to tap into this OT class.

I doubt we’ll take a guy we have to take though, Brad will move around the board to get the guy he wants.

Hes soild player. Too bad oline made him look bad because no body could block. I think he will get drafted 4th or 5th round

So FYI, my favorite draft podcast just got around to Lawrence, and their deal is they watch these prospects without having discussed them ahead of time and with an effort to stay away from the consensus narrative as much as possible.

And they both, independent of each other, had him as a top 20 player in the class.

If you want to listen, the pod is called Audibles and Analytics, and the episode is actually one of their free ones, the third day of talking about edge rushers. IMO they’re two of the better evaluators out there in the space.

@Thats2

Was looking into CJ allen lately, i think taking him at 17 would be too early, and we got Jack, but damn is he a player that i think we would love.

Also he called his own plays on the defense in Georgia…. which now a days is crazy lol

Yeah if we needed a MIKE I’d be all over him. Honestly I feel like him going to Tampa at 15 should be a more common fit, but you rarely see it out there.

They might have highly drafted MIKE scar tissue.

Yeah I get it, but 5 is different from 15. And that guy was pretty good through their Super Bowl run before falling off a cliff.

Just listened to your Audibles and Analytics podcast. Crikey - they are keen on Malachi Lawrence.

I am a bit weary about CJ Allen. I am wondering if he has athletic limitations than commonly believed.

Right? And Jaishawn Barham from that same episode.

Quite. Zero chance that any of these guys are available but came up with the following having listened. Cheered me up!

Ha, yeah. That would be something else. Which board did you use?

I used the NFL mock draft database option.

They’re too low on Bowry imo, though I see you got him 30+ picks past his ranking. OTs with those traits don’t generally make it out of day 2. Too low on Payne as well, and of course Barham. The rest are in a believable range at least.

And you’ve actually sent me to the tape on Kejon Owens, I know nothing about him.

So I just looked at Malachi Lawrence for the first time. WOW. Is he the best EDGE prospect in this draft class? Personally, I thought he has looked the best so far.

Great draft but where are you playing Fano in that scenario?

I still prefer Bain short arms and all. Though Lawrence may have a better shot at being a prolific pass rusher.

The Audibles and Analytics guys had him behind only Bain. Top twenty guy for them. I’ve been a fan for a while, but that’s as high as I’ve seen him.

They’re also incredibly low on Faulk. Like back-half-of-day-two low

Haha. I’m not sure I’d bother about Owens - I don’t know anything about him either! Just wanted to take a running back and he had the most interesting measurables and write-up of those left. Even with some of the more realistic picks, I felt that I was being a bit cheeky taking them where I did!

Have a feeling we’ll like Roush a lot. Deep football love in his family. And think he was one of the few guys who did all the drills at the Combine. We love that daft nonsense!

This said, it’s very difficult trying to guess what we’re going to do as so much is up in the air right now.
