Now when he reads a book with a nudie mag inside it while on the sideline he can just borrow his owners nudie mag.

It blows my mind the Eagles traded a #1 pick for him, won a Super Bowl, gave him a bloated contract then traded him for more than he originally cost

A little shocked by what patriots gave up for Brown.

Tennessee sold him off under market value. This may be a pinch high but when you think about in the context of Maye and his first contract window it makes sense. But yes, well played by Howie.

This sounds exactly like how I run all of my fantasy teams.

NE got their number wr now

Who is on the hook for his four void years

If it is NE I will poop myself. The only saving grace to the Eagles pushing all of this money into the future is knowing about the impending disaster. If they can get suckers to give them draft picks AND cap relief I will vomit. AND poop myself, Vomit and poop.

People always praise Howie for acquiring players and they praise him for getting draft picks for players, pretty much nothing he does is wrong. Having said that getting a 2028 1st and a 5th for Brown is good value

Wow that seems like a steal for the Eagles. Brown is about to be 29 and kinda a turd culture wise

GMs need to stop doing video calls with Howie.

I get the feeling he’s pulling the old pocket watch hypnosis trick.

Philly has to eat $49M, but since it’s post-June 1 they get to spread it across two years.

@DeadStroke , what’s the cap implications for a team trading away a player with void years left on his contract? Do they keep those void year hits, or do they go to the team trading for the guy?

No, they stay with the team. The acquiring team acquires the players contract and are responsible for the cash implications going forward. The dealing team is responsible for the cap implications that they paid (which is the void years/cap implications). Since we are after June 1, all cap hits are accelerated into the next season (2027).

For AJ Brown, the Eagles will have $16.5M dead cap in 2026 and $27M dead cap in 2027. $33.5M paid in prior years, deferred to future years. AJ Brown’s entire cash due in 2026 ($29M) will be paid by the Patriots.

So what is the deal that NE is inheriting? Could explain the first.

Yeah but the joke’s on Howie because the world’s going to end in 2027.

New England has acquired Brown for 4yrs.

Cash due of 2026 - $29M, 2027 - $21M, 2028 - $32M and 2029 $31M. Cap implications will be max team beneficial (negotiated by Howie).

More than likely he just drops his pants and starts….

So good terms for a number 1 WR until AJ falls off or goes full blown diva.
