Fantasy Football Draft Thread 2025

Sneaky good late round pick… Jake Bates cause most leagues have extra points for long field goals

It’s not just that, everything you hear from their beat guys - and Kubiak himself - is how great a fit he is for that system, and conversely, how poor a fit Charbs is. I think it’s a little overstated too, but the eye test says the same thing. Walker is certainly more like Kamara and the other McShanahan backs.

Right, he’s another guy I like quite a bit. It’s just that the best ball site I use - Draftkings - is 6 point passing TDs, as is my main league, so it pushes up the Purdys, Loves and Mayes a little bit. In a typical 4 point passing league Fields should probably be drafted as a top 10 QB.

I have moved Bowers up a round, solely for this.

This is definitely a @BigNatty situation where balder is better.

Bowers essentially is the receiving option on that team.

Their entire offense is going to go through Jeanty and Bowers.

With Pete Carroll there you know his RBs and TEs are going to feast.

While I agree with Bowers being the top option, I really like Meyers in the late rounds as a solid floor play.

In American football, we separate these.

Extra points are the kicks after touchdowns. Worth 1 point.

Field goals are the kicks most commonly on 4th down that are worth 3 points from anywhere on the field. These are instead of scoring a touchdown, the offense elects to kick a FG.

Not sure what the Canadian rules are maybe you can enlighten us

Is there a Den league that we can join?

Yeah but in fantasy football, a 40-49 yard FG is usually worth 4 points for your kicker, and a 50+ yard field goal is usually worth 5 points. In most leagues.

It was a bad joke by me trying to roast Boyd ok book worm :closed_book: :bug:

Get back to study hall with all your logic and deep thought.

In fantasy, a 50 yd FG might be worth 5 points. Depends on the commish.

Edit to add. I’ll be joining HSV in the study hall.

I’ll be joining the other wanna-be comedians in the audience and not on stage

Yeah if anyone else wants to make a new league, I’m in.

Gimmee a rb and wr “reach”, “deep sleeper” I can target really late. Guys that may not start at beginning of season, but will be $$$ later on.

PS - other than Teslaa/Meeks, lol.

Here’s my plan for my 12 man 0.5 PPR league. Picking at 7:

  1. Derrick Henry
  2. Kyren Williams
  3. Best WR
  4. Best WR / Omarion Hampton/Kamara/James Conner
  5. LaPorta / best FLEX

Get Kyler in round 7 or 8 as my QB. Gives me running QB production with the lower price tag.

Not a fan of Kyler. He’s regressed overall the last couple seasons. But as a fantasy qb, he’s decent for those rushing stats/td’s. Goff, Herbert, Purdy, Prescott others around 7. But virtually zilch in the rushing stuff.

I have been reading where Harrison has really looked great in camp, will only help Kyler. And McBride is so reliable.

Really, REALLY late I like Tory Horton for Seattle and Jacory Croskey-Merritt for the Commies. But they probably won’t even get drafted, last round only.

JCM is electric and if he can take over that backfield - and it’s not like he’s got world beaters in front of him, AND he’s gotten a lot of love in training camp - he could really explode. Very high ceiling.

Horton looks like he might have won a starting job on an offense that might be a lot better than anyone thinks.

He won’t go undrafted, but I also really love Jordan Mason. I think he’s a 1B right now to Aaron Jones, so he has some standalone value, is their goal line back, a glove fit in the Minnesota offense, and if Jones gets hurt - which he does a lot - he could be a league winner.

If you’re at 5 that means you’re 2nd pick is 18, which means you’re taking Kyren over someone like London, BTJ, Nabers, AJ Brown, Puka, Jeanty, Achane, Jonathan Taylor, Jacobs, Chase Brown, Bucky Irving, Bowers, potentially with Stafford playing with a back that might explode at any moment (which admittedly hurts Puka too). A little risky for my blood.

These guys will all likely be gone at that pick. We’re using Yahoo, and all of those guys are ranked ahead of 18 on their overall big board.
