Fantasy Football Draft Thread 2025

Good thing I’ve been adding Cooper in the last round of my fantasy drafts for a couple of months now.

He could be looking at silly volume if teams decide to let anyone but Brock beat them. Assuming JM is gone.

I have Brown and Bucky as a basic push. Thats2 describes the situation fairly in my opinion.

CMC vs Henry is a much more fun discussion. I am taking CMC ahead of Henry because CMC is healthy this year and his upside is top 3 RB. Henry is certainly the “safer” floor play, but he honestly scares the shit out of me with his age. I know he is an athletic freak and outperforms historical data. But I want him on someone else’s team when Father Time collects the bill.

You got an F for that? That’s wild, I really like it. I’m an upside drafter too generally, that’s how you win leagues.

Yeah maybe because I took the two rookie TE’s too early? Same on drafting for upside, safe floor guys just don’t generally move the needle for me. Even though I would have loved to nab ARSB, having that one steady guy is usually a nice piece of mind every week

Ten man league. My result:

1. (8) Ashton Jeanty (LV - RB)
2. (13) Christian McCaffrey (SF - RB)
3. (28) Jayden Daniels (Was - QB)
4. (33) Kenneth Walker III (Sea - RB)
5. (48) Davante Adams (LAR - WR)
6. (53) Tetairoa McMillan (Car - WR)
7. (68) Matthew Golden (GB - WR)
8. (73) Travis Hunter (Jax - WR)
9. (88) Tyler Warren (Ind - TE)
10. (93) Drake Maye (NE - QB)
11. (108) Luther Burden III (Chi - WR)
12. (113) Cam Skattebo (NYG - RB)
13. (128) Jayden Higgins (Hou - WR)
14. (133) Kansas City (KC - DEF)
15. (148) Jake Moody (SF - K)

I got a D on this one from Yahoo. The guys in my league just attack the WRs man. I got pretty good RBs and should have a good QB (QBs are worth more in this league with things like 6pt TD passes). Also an upside drafter, but did lose out to some players I would have loved to add by like one pick. I decided to just go all in with the young WRs.

Looks good to me. I’m assuming full-point PPR? How many WRs do you have to start?

I had my first draft last night and here are my picks.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Yahoo rated my draft an A but we all know how that goes.

Round Pick Player Position
1. (10) Amon-Ra St. Brown WR
2. (15) Bucky Irving RB
3. (34) Chuba Hubbard RB
4. (39) Jayden Daniels QB
5. (58) RJ Harvey RB
6. (63) Courtland Sutton WR
7. (82) Mark Andrews TE
8. (87) Deebo Samuel WR
9. (106) Jakobi Meyers WR
10. (111) Rhamondre Stevenson RB
11. (130) Josh Downs WR
12. (135) Rashid Shaheed WR
13. (154) Jaydon Blue RB
14. (159) Kyle Pitts Sr. TE
15. (178) Tyler Loop K
16. (183) Houston

Full PPR?

1/2 point

I’m a little worried about Meyers given Cooper’s arrival (and the holdout), but in 1/2 he should be fine. Otherwise I like the look of it. I have a ton of Rhamondre personally, the Treveyon hype is out of control. Don’t get me wrong I like the guy, but McDaniels always has a plodder vulturing TDs (Blount, Stevan Ridley, Damien Harris, etc…)

Thanks,

I’ve made a fantasy career out of the New England backfield.

That is one timeshare where almost every year both backs have fantasy value. Danny Woodhead helped me win a league back in the day.

Meyers does worry me a bit as well and I took a flyer on Pitts because in round 14 a #1 TE seemed like something I should do (even though Pitts has almost always disappointed me whenever I’ve drafted him before).

I know next to nothing about Jaydon Blue but he was ranked high on some of my cheat sheets.

He’s an electric, Justice Hill type. He could get more run than Hill due to the state of the rest of the backfield, though. I have plenty of shares as well. I wasn’t that high on him in the draft, but opportunity rules in fantasy and he’s potentially got it.

I’m a really big fan of the WR Anchor, then double up on RB strat in the first 3 rounds

I just started doing that over the past few years.

I used to go RB, RB, WR, WR, then WR/RB/TE, then QB, then fill in the rest but I’ve found with injuries a high quality RB can usually be found on waivers but higher quality WRs can’t.

ESPN gave my draft a C last year…on the way to my 4th - 12 team league championship.

I picked up Ladd McConky as a FA last year. Dude tore it up.

Where did you get Gibbs? I have #3OA so I’m hopeful.

Keeper league so kept him from last years roster, I wish I had the #3 pick!
