He was drafted in all of my leagues last year. I remember a decent amount of preseason hype surrounding him.
Anyone looking for a league? We have one spot open in the Den Grandfather League with the draft on Thursday at 8:30 pm. This league has been running for over 20 years and is highly competitive. 10 team Yahoo league, $20 buy in ($150 to first, $50 to second).
Edit: spot filled!
I think somebody in my league cut him.
I have always leaned a little to the RB position except when Travis Kelce was giving a 10+ point TE advantage. Yes, I have drafted him a couple of times in the first when he was in his prime.
But that positional value isn’t there anymore. So I prefer to start RB heavy but we all know that drafts always take a life of their own. This year I hope to draft 3 RBs in the top 5 rounds (or so) because of the positional cliff. But, I find I am falling into a pattern of taking rookies in the mid-rounds and the positions are just sort of taking care of themselves.

So its half I believe. .5 per catch. I have two WR slots and a flex that could be another, but I’ll probably put Walker there to start and see how the rookies do. I went out on a limb with Burden, was going to take Egbuka but he went one pick before my 11th rounder.
OK, was all ready to “Steal” Teslaa late, maybe round 14 or so. But with TP trade, I think he will skyrocket. My draft is Saturday, ONE PT PPR, and you can have 5 wr’s (6 if your flex).
So what round should I take him? 12 Team, and I’m in Fl, so no other lions fans, which i think matters.
Man Egbuka lasting that long is something. His ADP is in the 6/7th round over on draftkings.
I wouldn’t reach for him, I still think he’ll be extremely TD dependent to really pay off much in fantasy (unless there are injuries in front of him, god forbid). That said he’s got the skill set for like an 8-10 TD season even if he doesn’t have a lot of yards or catches overall.
Yeah, maybe a flyer round 12-13. Other guys around there are: m. brown, tillman, j palmer, thornton.
They’ve all got starter reps and a path to more targets (maybe not Thornton), though outside of Palmer and maybe Brown they aren’t on offenses as good as ours.
Just FYI my man
Yeah, I changed my mind on that take in the last day or two. I’m looking at Chase Brown and Bucky with that 2nd rounder, unless JT or Achane or somebody falls.
Jacobs should probably be in that mix too, though of course if it comes down to a tiebreaker non-GB >>>>>>> GB
Plus I had Jacobs last year, and I dont really like having guys back to back years unless they’re Lions guys, especially if they had a good year for me last year like Jacobs did.
It makes no logical sense, but I always get burned when I have a guy on my team two years in a row. Tyreek killed me last year after he was my only good player two years ago, for example.
I’ll take Jacobs again, but I would just prefer to take someone else.
You would not have thrived back in the Tomlinson days. He was great for like 8 years straight.
Guys like that I’m not afraid to take twice in a row. Hell, I had Zeke on my team for four or five years straight back in his prime. Obviously I took Tyreek back to back in the 1st last season, and I’m considering him again in the 4th round this year since he’ll have that price discount. But guys like Jacobs, where there’s comparable players, I usually don’t take twice in a row at that point in the draft.
Yeah I was mostly just giving you a hard time.
I have no problem taking a guy twice personally, but to each his own. In fact what would keep me from doing it more than anything is the fact he’s a Packer, and I hate having to root for them at all. I will when there’s money on the line, but begrudgingly.
In my main I’m pretty sure I’m about to get Jonathan Taylor for the 3rd straight year *sigh. I don’t want to - he wasn’t great the prior two years except for the end of last season, by which point I was already eliminated - but I think he’s the best option in non-PPR. Honestly it’s probably him and Jacobs, and like I said as a tiebreaker, non-GB >>>>>>> GB.
RB’s, i always like to focus on guys in the 1st 4 rounds or so that are bellcows, or not really a share. Maybe something like 70/30 split. This year looks to be, any I missed:
?, not really sure
James cook
Achane
Henry
Brown
J taylor
Pacheco?
Jeanty
Barkley
Swift?
Gibbs?
Bijan
Bucky
Cmac
Chuba Hubbard, one of the best arguments in his favor is workload. Plus they just paid him, plus Canales likes a bell cow. I’d say he’s in line to get a higher percentage of carries that many of the guys listed.
Cook for example only played on 55% of snaps but he was crazy efficient with the TDs. Most expect some regression, but he’s still the top guy on an elite offense, so even if he’s NOT a bell cow he should still produce. Like Kamara back in the Brees days.
Also, for at least the first month while Spears is out, Tony Pollard will be a bell cow as well. He was great last year while Spears was out.
