Fields has little in common with any of the previous OSU QBs.
Haskins is a statue… especially compared to Fields… and was more raw as a passer as well.
Cardale was the 3rd string QB at OSU for a reason. He had a great game at the right time, but was never considered a top QB prospect.
Pryor was athletic and had decent arm strength, but was very raw as a QB. Not even close to Fields’ ability as a passer.
JT Barrett, Troy Smith, and Braxton Miller were shorter and not considered great passing prospects either.
In addition to the fact that the players are not similar… the scheme was not the same under Ryan Day either. Haskins was the only guy to play with Day as HC, and Day has spoken to the fact that he added more pro style concepts with Fields because he could handle it.
