I wonder what it would take for us to try and get Jaylen Brown from either Boston or Milwaukee? The rumor is he’s available in Boston even if he doesn’t get traded for Giannis.
That’s a move I’d pay a lot for.

That would at least cost Ausar and all of our draft picks.
I think we could build a better overall team if we didn’t do something like that actually.
The TMIII / Herro / Irving + Dosunmu / Coby White + Rookie (Philon / Yaxel / someone else) path makes us the best team next year.

The best version of this team next year is where we do this:
- Trade for legit #2 option
- Use MLE on a scoring threat who plays multiple positions off the bench
- Draft a rookie who can score
One of those players has to be a plus defender.

The Giannis trade is holding everything up. Once that happens we should see some activity occur. It appears, for now, that the Pistons won’t be part of the Giannis trade (I trust Shams over all other insiders) so now we wait.

That appears to be the news. Many are figuring that this is a salary dump in order to free up some money for a big move. Paul Reed may have made this move a little easier.
