Not only his asking price but what will other teams be willing to pay if multiple teams want him. Then add in the Duren and Thompson contracts.

I will say that his approach has not exactly been a failure. He completely reversed the ship in 2 years, hired a cast off coach that worked extremely well, and made some good draft picks/free agent/ trades.
I feel like a trade for a number 2 offensive weapon is necessary, but I can’t look someone in the eye and say his method hasn’t worked so far.
Now if this works out like BHolmes RDE scenario and a losing record, I think it will be justified then.

Langdon won’t do anything different than Holmes. Play it safe and conservative drafting. So far, Langdon has been terrible at drafting thus far. Holland and Bobi Klintman both have been failures

To be fair that was a pretty terrible draft. There was minimal quality players to date from our pick on. Maybe a few centers were solid. But not much honestly.

And to be fair, Holland is freaking 20 years old so it’s silly to call him a bust and also silly to call any 2nd round pick a bad pick since 2nds are generally throwaway picks in the NBA. Some people revel in the negativity though so it is what it is.

Holland is not a failure, Klintman was a 2nd rd pick, that’s the equivalent to saying Brad can’t draft because his 6th rd pick didn’t work out.

Holland will end up being a + starter in this league(in about 3-4 years) The motor is crazy and he is high end athletic. Something good will come of that. This current NBA style era doesn’t fit him right now, but he has more scoring upside than Ausar.
This is kind of the deal now….draft em when they are 19/20 and you don’t really know what you have until it’s 2nd contract time. Not easy for GMs

Pistons need a number 2. And Extending Duren and Thompson are nice. They better be for decent prices because they cant play on the court together.
If they are on the court together. Sure top 5 defense but one of the worst offenses.

They NEEEED a GOOD stretch 4. And Harris aint it.
They sign Duren and Thompson to a $30m extension each! That only leaves under $20m in cap space. So either they need to trade assets like Holland. sasser, Stew. Or go into the tax.
