@HSVLion do you actually think the stones do something? Need a college opinion
I do. They’re going to make a trade for a #2 guy.
I’m not sure who that is, but I do think it will happen. Haven’t felt this way about one of these DET teams before.
Kyrie is my favorite option because he’s been there and done that before with two different teams in the EXACT role he’d be playing here. He’s proven he can do it.
Murphy is more projection and you’d have to deal with his own lack of personal playoff experience.
I want NOTHING to do with Iriving. Dude is a nutcase. Hes old. Definitely heading down hill too. Not the kind of player they need.
Murphy is a dream. Would be amazing to get him. Perfect age. Perfect type of player they need. A Stretch 4 than can shoot. Space out the floor for cade. And open the paint to let Duren do his one job well.
Expects trade would be: Holland, Stew, 2 first. DONE AND DONE!
Cade, Murphy, lavert, Sasser, Duren
Thompson and friends off the bench.
Irving isn’t actually a “head case”. He’s a very good basketball player even at his age.
Yeah he can create headlines every now and then but when’s the last time he did anything that would classify him as a “head case?” 6 years ago?
The great debate
Because hes burned every bridge, and what has he really done in the playoffs since playing with Bron?
Boston he was hurt 1st year. And disappeared in the 2nd round. In year 2
Brooklyn was a bleep show. The chemistry was wak. Par for the course for Brooklyn.
Dallas was more of a scheme issue. Kyrie doesnt play defense. And dallas didnt have defense. Something the pistons could help cover up with Duren and Thompason.
However he is aging. And coming off a MAJOR ACL injury. Im worried about that recovery for a guy thats gonna be 35 by the time the playoffs start.
Kyrie is equal parts a nutcase and talented. And he is stupidly effective at his age. If healthy, he would be elite for us.
I would be happy with either option, but if healthy Kyrie is easily the better player of the two today. Down the line and in the locker room, probably not.
I just hope we trade for any of these guys.
I agree. Either of these moves INSTANTLY make the pistons a top favorite in the east.
They highlight the type of move they need to make in order to win.
Make either trade (say both involve trading Holland, Stew and this years first plus future draft picks)
Make that trade, extended Duren and Thompson to fair deals ($28-32m each)
Give paul Reed guaranteed money.
Thats an A+ off season. And now you got a very very good top 7 on the team. Good enough to do major damage in the playoffs.
Um Lavert needs to stay far away from a starting gig let alone be on the team next year
Man I want to hear some news soon. Longer this takes the less likely pistons make a trade
Yeah, I dont get how having Lavert in the starting line up is a good thing
It’s a good thing if it’s the Knicks starting lineup. Or anyone else in the east not named the Pistons. In fact, that would help the Pistons the most.
You’re not going to hear anything until after the Finals get done. Nobody takes the offseason seriously until it’s actually the offseason.
I mean yes and no. There is 28 other teams that aren’t doing nothing. But I agree probably wont hear shit till nba season is done.
Don’t we have to wait until the season is over before we can make deals?
Nope. Trades can happen now i believe.
I can’t remember a trade being made before the end of the Finals like that before.
And technically the new league year doesn’t even start until after the draft, so trades can’t be made official until the end of the moratorium period in free agency.
